Just seen Berardi decided against going to Juve - thought he had gone there. Would be a really interesting signing - extremely fast left-footed wing forward, scores and gets assists, tall, skillful, dives in for headers etc, with the kind of fiery and determined personality that Poch loves. Had a bit of a slump last season compared to all the goals he scored the season before. Love us to bid now.

I like Boufal too but his fieriness seems to be of the petulant, egotistical, bitchy, disloyal variety.

edit: apparently berardi wants to stay at sassuolo for another year :( Actually think he's the best fit for us of any attacking players I'm aware of.

So I'm hoping we do manage to get Janssen and Sanabria in as we're starting to get left behind in terms of signings. All the big boys making their moves and with pre-season soon to start we would look a lot better with the players already in and ready to go for pre-season.

Bloody productive 'trick' tbh
It is, but it doesn't produce in all systems / situations and can be incredibly frustrating.

Robben has shown he can do it at the higher levels. Hulk never has - Not internationally and not in a top league.

Yeah he's still going to be off to Juve, the Sassuolo chairman confirmed it, just not a season earlier than originally agreed.

Should have signed him years ago.

Made for the PL.

That's what I thought when watching him in the game I was referring to, as well as noticing he seemed to literally be everywhere. I thought he looked 100% like a Poch player but, after reading other responses to the post you quoted, he's seemingly either very good or invisible?

With Manure seemingly signing Pogba and Mikhityran I really think we should try to sign Schneiderlin. A CM 4 of Dier, Dembele, Wanyama and Schneiderlin would be ideal.

If you seriously think we'll keep dembele, dier, wanyama and schneiderlin happy over the course of a season, pay the wages and schneiderlin's fee then I think you're in fantasy land.
Well we are 3/4 of the way there so I don't see it as fantasy at all. Reversing it if you think we can get through the season and achieve our ambitions without an addition in CM then I think you are hugely optimistic.

Yeah adding MS to our already congested midfield isn't going to happen, we already bought Wanyama for that.

I think our midfield is set. It'll be Bentaleb, Dembele, Dier, Wanyama and probably Mason sprinkled in. I would have preferred Mason and Carroll sold to fund a move for a creative CM that could also move up the pitch a tad into the position behind Kane, too.
