Fantasic news on Onomah. Good to see that wrapped up as other clubs were sniffing. Great to see Edwards confirmed as staying as a first year academy player. Gotta get a contract wrapped up with him when he's eligible though to keep the big clubs away.

The combined brains of SC should be proud - we got all 14 new Academy 1 players on OP correct !

#itk :ninja: Though most were easy to work out

I'm just surprised/impressed the club has put them up so soon. It took at least until the start of the new season last year before it was updated right? Club really are getting into gear.

Great news on Onomah too. Let's hope we see some more in the first team next year.

@Lilbaz your boy Tsaroulla's there.

The only technical aspect of KWP's game that is lacking for me is his crossing. It's not poor but I would like to see him really learn to whip in a ball, whether it be from deep or at the byline.

He is so good already but it would make him that bit more unpredictable and a threat

Ha, most were easy, but must admit I thought Oteh was the year below until I think it was you pointed out that he wasn't

I'm even more surprised that they have a brief bio up on the Academy Year 1 players - think it was well into autumn in the last few seasons before that happened.

Good news on Onomah and Edwards though today

Lot to be excited by in that new intake, however I think Roles has attracted the most attention due to his social media activity. Look forward to seeing him finally play in the u18s. As one of the most informed youth watchers mentioned it is one of the top 3 intakes in England, arguably the best.

It'll be a step up for Jack but I'm sure he'll grab the opportunity and make the most of it. The club just need to organise showing more u21 and u18 matches on spurs TV now.

Right on cue http://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnatio...sh-onomah-tottenham-hotspur-prospect-rankings

Not sure about suggesting he is a 2nd striker and that he is a good finisher (though he is improving) but otherwise quite a decent write up.
I would actually say finishing (and long range shooting) is his biggest weakness. Opinions, eh?

Haven't been following their rankings, but if Edwards is #5 and Onomah #4 then who is in the top three?

I would have gone:
1) Edwards
2) Onomah
3) Carter-Vickers

saw it earlier and feels as though half of it's missing. think it's actually the worst one they've done!

they're including pritchard and alli so they'll probably be 1 and 2. i agree with your top three though (y)

In regards to Edwards:

Chris Miller‏@WindyCOYS
He had his issues last season. Pre-contract signed now, I'm told.

(Of course he doesnt have a direct link-but he is more likely than most to hear 'news' about our youth.)

Agree, though, I have seen indications recently that his long range shooting has improved and he is taking more shots. I'm thinking towards the end of the u21 season saw him go for a few, and also in teh post season match where he came on and shifted the ball and shot low. Haven't seen him do that much. Wrt finishing he is picking up more goals but they seem to be tap-ins which shows good positioning and composure at least.

It will be Pritchard, Alli then CCV I assume.

Pritchard still eligible for this list, and rightly or wrongly they include Alli, though whether he is more talented than the others is again up for debate, but once you start reaching the top 5 they are all similar level, potential, they you can make a case for any 5 to be top.

Definitely could have been more informative but don't think they got anything glaringly wrong. But I guess for a top 5 player you'd expect more
