5 points to take away from tonight:

1) Haven't lost to a top-four side in 4 games this season
2) Having read the forums, most players seem to have been nominated for MOTM
3) We can play 4-4-2!
4) We have a central midfield! Both Hud and Zoko played a blinder.
5) 2 top-four teams out the Carling Cup!

And we did this without King, Woody, Modric, Bentley and Jenas

Er we're a long way from any final yet. Yeah we are doing great but I am not getting carried away it was only a few weeks ago people were saying they would take 16th place etc.

Well, no repeat of last year's final, then.

I'm probably one of the few on SC who can remember when Chelsea beating Burnley would have been a real turn-up.

I can remember, but then I have mastered the ability of time-travel.

The sooner the Mancs are out the better, if they get any further I wouldn't put past the alchie to start fielding a stronger side.

Great night, just back home. I have to say that first half was fantastic. Terrific football from our lads. I got a bit nervous when we tired a bit, and we have to work on defending corners, but I have a big smile on my face tonight.

Enjoyed the game, thought that we played really well, huddlestone was fantastic, did anyone else think that lennon has been practicing crossing the ball?

Definitely, but I think is crossing has been getting progressively better from last season.

Yes, and didn't put a foot wrong. In fact none of the defence did.

I have to admit I thought Bale had given away that pen but his studs brushed the ball.

Thommo said it was definitely a pen because "despite making contact with the ball I've seen them given"

Not good enough you fucking scouse ****, read the bastard rules you bin dipping scum.

yeah, how's he doing assists wise? Made the second Fraizer goal and I remember the PAV header against Newcastle.

Whilst I'd like to agree we did give free headers for both of their goals, our players lost their men on both occasions.
