Missed the game last night. But now seen it in whole. What an second half performance (something we often have nowdays). That just shows Poch has become a much better match coach. Look at Eriksen coming out to the second half. I think he had about 4 interceptions in the first 5 minutes there and one leasing to the first goal.

One thing I thought about a lot is the bad positioning our wing backs often have. I always thought about it as Trippier and Aurier beeing bad at that. But I guess Poch wants them there because he do not change it. Or is it a case of them being to unintellegent about when to go forward or back home? There is always a sea of space behind them.

Last night was a classic case of being patient, but first half priority was to contain them, nullify their threats. Go into the break 0-0 then go for it. Watched a post match interview with Jan and he felt they were happy at 1-0 down, which meant they sat back and we could just keep going. Got a second and a priceless third.

Also, one thing I was thinking about was how all our previous CL knockouts had the 1st leg away. With our away form, we should be confident in that 2nd leg. No silly or stupid errors and we'll be fine.

Dortmund's 3 goals conceded in the 2nd half was more than their entire group stage campaign. In the group stages, they had only conceded 2 and that was away at Atletico Madrid so they had 5 clean sheets.

This was our first home win in the knock out stages of the Champions League. We had previously drawn or lost our others to AC Milan (d), Real Madrid (loss) & Juventus (d). Another first for Poch!

Great performance , pity thousands once again not in their seats to see the Sonny goal. Hardly any Dortmund fans left their section at half time do Germans have stronger bladders ?

I don't know if I am alone but I am not impressed by the Dortmund fan's noise, most of it is just the drums and it is all very sterile in spite of the volume. The whole point is to get behind your side and lift them but it went bum diddy bum diddy bum bum bum and when they got a corner in the last minute of the first half and nothing changed, any other supporters would have sent up a roar to drive on their team and nerve out the opponents.

All those were 2nd legs. I remember AC Milan, they had all the game and we dug in for 0-0 after a 1-0 win over there. Madrid were, well, Madrid after smashing us in the 1st leg. Juventus is the one that stings. Still feel we should have turned them over, fully deserved to. But that five or so minute spell we switched off cost us dearly.

Big difference from the PSG fans at Old Trafford. They were loud in the right way.

Going to the game for only the third time in my life, so hoping for a special night... COYS!
Well that was fun... Still buzzing, what a game! Great atmosphere, credit to the Dortmund fans as well. They kept going...

Vertonghen was exceptional. Always puzzled me why he dislikes the position of left back, because he's bloody good playing it. That being said, the whole team stepped up second half. Inspired performance that will not go unnoticed...

1) Amazing stuff at HT from Poch. Makes me wonder do we not do our homework before the game and set up right?
2) Verts. Wow. Beta LB at the club. League?
3) Winks/Sissoko. Wow.
4) Can’t wait for Kane and Dele to come back. What a front four we will have

Fantastic few years for our club. Hope we build and continue to grow in the summer. 1/2/3 excellent signings and we can seriously push for the title next year

COYS

Poch.

BT showed an interview with Vertonghen before the game. He was asked about our little run of late winning goals. He literally said...

"We know that, with the way we set out to play, the opposition will tire and we are fit enough to keep going until the very end and take advantage of it"...

There is obviously just a belief within this squad & that sort of thing can't be bought. Yet another demonstration as to how Poch has changed the whole mentality of the once "Soft Centred THFC".

Midway through the game I described it as a similar noise to passing traffic on a busy road. Was just background noise, when we started chanting it felt meaningful.

Everytime I have seen Pulisic and admittedly thats against us in the main - he hasnt really been all that great. Now I appreciate we are awesome at nullifying players but still intrigued by what he offers - as I havent seen it yet,

Their fans are tremendous in their commitment and colour etc. But must say I do find the constant drumming and droning of the same chant for pretty much the entire game incredibly tiresome. Happy we don't have that culture over here.

Or don't like our beer.

Quality in the 2nd half, although still all to do.
