Ah I see, I used to live opposite there, they normally have a few security guards patrolling all night so I wonder how it's looking down there now..

Theres a couple of helicopters buzzing around as well. Just an excuse for people to go on the rob really.

I'm not sure if its for us, the west ham and reading games for tomorrow have been cancelled but the England match hasn't yet, which surely means the weekend ones haven't

Think the England game will be off later today.

'What did you do in the riots daddy?'

Watched the England Holland friendly
while London burned'

think not.

Well , it gives our 'working round the clock' striker finders a bit longer before their inability to succeed impacts directly on the club .

england Holland off.

Would expect ours to be off too. Can you imagine what the SPurs faithful will be like if they leave the ground after the game and there's a hint of trouble in the area?

Postpone the games !

Not only the Spurs V Everton match but all matches should not take place this weekend

Police resources need to be deployed on other serious matters , not some blokes kicking a ball around .

Events like this put things into perspective . Get the police fighting to win our streets back at the weekend . Don’t waste resources on a poxy football match .

Sad sad times .

Depends on what comes out of this 'Cobra' meeting and what happens tonight. As I've said before I don't expect a decision to be made on Saturday's games before Saturday, except in any instances whereby football grounds themselves are vandalised.

As for the 'Cobra' meeting, I think they should re-name it a 'Shoot the Little Bastards' meeting and that might scare some people into staying out of the trouble.

England game is cancelled, I think it's 80% chance ours will be. The police won't have the resources to look after a football match.

Thank god....I can't make it anyway!

I've just said this in the riot thread but I can't see our game going ahead as things stand.

If the game was on the police could be targeted particularly as Tottenham is where this all started. If you then throw in 36,000 football fans then there's a pretty high chance of trouble.

Much as I'd be pissed off if it was cancelled I think it may be the right decision. Too many kids go to Spurs to risk them all getting caught up in it.

I think if it calms down over the next 24r hours it will go ahead...if its still going on tomorrow I think it will be cancelled in all likelihood.

This.

But as the only measures the gov't are implementing are to deploy more police (who have very little power to do anything), I don't see it calming down for a couple more days. Very poor leadership from all involved (except the looters who seem pretty well co-ordinated in comparison).

Gutted. What a horrible country we live in.

And this. The government response had been pathetic. I feel sorry for the police, they are facing massive cuts and have no gov't support. They also have the fact that since the media is photographing anything and everything they do, they are too scared to be forceful, as they will get the book thrown at them.

Also, Teresa May is about as useful as tits on a bull. David Cameron actually needs to do something instead of covering his ass.

Talksport just said speculated that our game 'has to be called off' and that 'a decision needs to be made soon', but i disagree.

If the problems continue through the week then yes, games will need to be called off in order to ensure that police can be deployed to areas at risk. But if tonight is calmer, then we will have reason to believe that the following night will be calmer still.

As I've said before, I don't expect a decision to be made before Thursday and I believe that if the situation is visibly improving come Thursday, any decision to call off games in London then would be an over-reaction.
