Missing Romero, Sarr for this one and Van De Ven, Richarlison, Maddison, Perisic, Solomon and Bentancur til new year.

Imagine;
Arsenal without Saliba (3 games), Zinchenko (1 game) Jorginho (few games) and Gabriel, Jesus, Odegaard, Trossard and Partey til new year.

City
without Dias (3 games), Ajkanji (1 game) Kovacic (few games) and Gvardiol, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Grealish and Stones til new year.

How would they fair?
No better than us really. Arsenal have had hardly any injuries so far. Last season was similar until, with 8 games to go, Saliba was out and they went to pieces.
I think when Romero returns we will be a lot better. Teams can survive losing one of the centre halves but losing both in one match has killed us. Romero has let us down. He better perform after City.

No expectations for this game other than us sticking to our approach. Just no injuries, suspensions or officiating nonsense (against us) please.

Rather harsh on Romero letting us down.

I understand why people think we could potentially concede 6 or 7 but even with all our injuries and suspensions the only match we’ve conceded more than 2 was versus Chelsea with a couple of sending offs.

Yeah Man C are obviously a step up in terms of quality but Aston Villa, who we narrowly lost to last week, are no slouches either - they’ve actually properly thrashed plenty of teams this season (e.g Everton 4-0, Brighton 6-1 and West Ham 4-1).

On the other hand Man C are not invincible. This season they’ve dropped points to Wolves (L), Arsenal (L), Chelsea (D), Liverpool (D) and went out of the League cup to Newcastle.

I don’t think we should be going into this resigned to the idea of being hammered as some of you seem to be. If it happens then fine, we deal with it and move on. But not only writing us off before the match starts but anticipating a possible “ cricket score” defeat doesn’t sit right with me.

Partey, zinchenko, Jesus, odegaard have all been out for a period of time. Absolute myth we have more injuries than anyone else, we just don’t have the depth to deal with it.

Newcastle and Man Utd have had similar injury crises to us, funnily enough they’re doing about as well as us, although they’ve performed better whilst being hammered by injuries than we have with 3 losses for us and our only points coming when blessed with most first team players available.

So much self loathing about our injury crisis in here ffs, couldn’t be more boring.

It's alright for you lot, Sunday is about over when this game ends, over here it kicks off at 1030 so basically fucks up the rest of Sunday. I'm actually a bit scared to watch it quite honestly.
My kick off is at 11:30…….I will try to make the most out of the extra hour 😜😜

Yeah, I also think it’s a depth issue really. We have been a bit unlucky but we were literally relying on none of Son, Maddison, Romero etc getting injured or suspended. As soon as we lost one or two of them we were in trouble, which is due to lack of depth rather than an injury crisis. The drop off in quality is just too big right now.

Sadly I'm not going to be able to watch the match as I'm out at a Christmas thing with my wife and the little one. I'll be glancing at the score though throughout and hope that I manage to avoid looking miserable and stressed and ruin the night.

United, Chelsea and Newcastle has had injury issues like us.
Not Arsenal imo, no club avoids injuries completely though.
Our problem has first of all been the absolute lack of CB back up.
It's nothing to cry about when we can line up with full internationals like Lo Celso etc.

It's not just the injuries. It's the squad depth. City are thinner than usual this year after their summer sales, but they've still got top quality stepping in for every position. Same with Liverpool. Arsenal do too, at least up front.

If we want to compete again at the very top season after season, we need wayyy more depth.

Not dreaded a game this much for a while. Will be like a trip to the dentist for root canal surgery. Awful, but relieved to get it out of the way afterwards once the healing has begun.

genuinely buzzing for this.

win, lose or draw, i know ange is going to have us go there and play big boy football. the past few years have been so depressing, i would watch our games out of duty and then try to forget about them as soon as the whistle went, now it couldn't be any different. regardless of the result today we are going somewhere under this manager, enjoy the journey. coys.

Using a clever ploy, I triple captained Haaland in my FF to effectively neutralize him. May the FF curse be real.
