I was actually thinking about this. Does it seem like our player take the most time to adapt to the PL?
I think our players may well take more time because we tend to buy young, and generally we're buying players who are to some extent still developing their game. A change of football environment is going to be tough for them. It's no surprise really when players like James at Everton hit the grand running when they're coming off the back of an already ten year career in European elite football.
It would be nice though to buy someone like vdv again who just strated at 100 miles an hour and looked like he'd been a spurs player for years.

Peak Mourinho moaning about Sterling pulling out of the England squad, then turning around only to start Stevie B. Class.

Must not allow city to take control. Be at our best and no mistakes- there is no reason why we can't get a positive result .

You need to get your facts right before criticizing
Not criticising, I love it.
Pretty sure he got sent home for not being fit, not us having him pull out.
What's the difference, technically that's the same as the official line for Sterling dropping out as well. Only difference was anybody who saw Bergwijn could clearly see he wasnt fit.

Any half decent explanation for why Bergwijn?

Bergwijn a big surprise (although he has got a good track record against City :playful: ) , the rest not so much. COYS
I'm not surprised. I figured Mourinho would go for pace, pace and more pace against Man City's slightly sluggish defence. Bergwijn is well-rested as a result of a minor injury and is way, way faster than a 31-year-old Bale.

Add in the two quick fullbacks and Son and we'll have a lot of rapid players out there. Just need to find them behind the lines and make sure they bring finishing boots.

I agree with the line up and the balance on the bench

We all know Sissoko is keeping that place warm for Gio

Pace of Walker might scupper a few of our counter attacks. Hoping Ndombele is on it today, going to need a bit of his creativity I feel.

Of course, the above is feckin obvious, but there you go.

Funnily enough keeping it a draw and croung late will reduce sterling and aguero game time..

I've swerved my usual £5 both teams to score. Thought I'd check the markets for both RBS to have a brain fart. ;)
