Feel really calm about this game. Don't know why but just have a feeling our extra fire power will carry us through.

Really big game for Son today, brilliant start to the season but has looked a little below par in the last few games before the international break. Hope he is back to his best today.

No Fernandinho is great news

Let's see what happens. We have great options off the bench. I hope we use them early enough.

Unless we're a couple of goals up of course !

Pace of Walker might scupper a few of our counter attacks. Hoping Ndombele is on it today, going to need a bit of his creativity I feel.

Of course, the above is feckin obvious, but there you go.

I think Ndombele's resistance to the press will also be key. We need him to have a good game. This is the sort of game where him a lo celso linking might be the way to play through the press but he's gone with the defensive solidity of sissoko.

Sorry Jamie, we didn't play Man Utd at Old Trafford did we?

Our first test....
To be fair to him. After the game I was as pleased with how good we were as I was surprised by how thoroughly awful united were.

That wasn't much of a test. You need to be given a game for it to be a test. The second half was a friendly match and the first was a walk over. It was hardly much of a test.

That's the thing though, Sissoko isn't defensively solid IMO. He's big and athletic but his positioning isn't great defensively, he doesn't use his size to good effect, he hides from the ball and can't resist the press.

GLC is tenacious defensively and can actually receive and pass the ball under pressure.
