Have to admit you can absolutely see why Bale didn't start this game, wouldn't be surprised if Lucas was the first attacking sub either.

We need to learn how to be calm on the ball when in possession like City, and also provide more press when not in possession.

This type of play is really not sustainable

Every City player protesting to the referee on the way to the locker rooms. Frustration creeping in.
I would feel better if they didn't have Sterling on the bench. A half-fit Aguero I don't really mind.
Lo Celso for Bergwijn please. We need to move our defensive line much higher to ease pressure. And control midfield play as much as possible.
And play Lo Celso wide left ?‍♂️. Bergwijn is playing there as he is tactically disciplined with a bit of pace to stem the threat of Walker.

Great teamwork and focus.

We need to be better with the ball.

I'd still be happy to come away with a draw.

P.S Jesus doesn't control the ball without his arm so fuck off pundits.

This half will be a real test cos Pep will adapt City to our plan and then there’s Aguero and Sterling who can create goals out of nothing.

Just got back from taking my lad for a covid test so missed the first half. Cagey affair with them having all the ball and us defending well about sum it up?

Clinical and fighting for each other and the badge. Love it. Yeah I’d like us to keep the ball for longer spells, but then that leads to more space for city, which is something that has to be avoided at all costs. Play style was always gonna be like this. Special shout to Toby, thought he was a brick wall.

Thought we tired a little towards the end of that half which is to be expected. Need to be careful because one lapse in concentration can undo it.

Bergwijn may be sacrificed for Lo Celso, just to have a bit more control.
Disagree, I actually think we're conserving energy.

We're playing two triangles defensively both trying to stop de bruyne. Bergwijn is doing well blocking the passing lanes, son less so.

Mahrez is a real threat as well. This city team is bloody good.

We need to get the ball to ndombele as much as possible, he is the one who can hurt city. Kane is doing well pulling the centre backs out but needs to do better in possession.

The problem is we are not getting tight enough to Silva and de bruyne.

A fascinating watch though, we look so dangerous on the break, we are just not winning the ball back enough. This game could go either way.

This, for me City can have 99.9% possession, 100 shots on target, and all that stuff. If we win the game the three points is all that matters and will be a massive result for us.
Well, yes, but if Citeh continue to have 99.9% of possession and another 100 shots on target, the likelihood is they’ll beat us by a big margin.

Not sure what Redknapp is on about, in what world is the handball decision harsh or confusing? It clearly hit his arm which took the ball into his path, that was a handball 10 years ago and it still is today.
