That cavani goal sums up aurier and dier.
No defensive instinct.
No defensive instinct.
Goose fat thenAldi knock offs
Of course we could be better off but I am sure that a lot of teams could point to bad decisions or goals conceded to imorove their points score. That's all ifs, buts and maybes. I don't believe that Mourinho tells them to go into their shell at half time but we all know it is going to happen It's a mentality thing. Look at the leaders on the pitch.....where are they? Lloris is not able to influence in goal. Dier? The players don't trust him on the pitch. Holjberg perhaps and Kane....beyond those 2 I think that is it.If you don’t think we could have 6 more points this season with better tactics I don’t know what to tell you. We’ve lost 15 from winning positions at half time, and gained zero. If we were merely bad in the second half we’d be in the top 4. I have never ever seen a worse team with a lead in 40 years. That’s tactics, and that’s the job of the manager
because we put in a solid 1st half performance which was followed by a combination of not coming out for the 2nd half, disgraceful decision to bring Sissoko on and taking working tactics and throwing them out of the window. Oh and both picking and then leaving a horror show in Dier on the pitch.
Don’t get me wrong rupsmith....I hate criticising our players but sissoko is way past that and has been for a few seasons now....how he still gets game time is totally beyond me....Well I always knew to a certain degree but how shockingly poor he is struck me as so obvious in today’s game. He simply cannot pass a football, his positional sense is non existent and he just athletically occupies space in a disjointed uncoordinated manner. He came on and we just gave up the midfield. Jose probably brought him on to close space and United just ran rings around us after that. Quite a few players played well. Rodon was decent, Dier not too bad, Aurier was ok. Midfield was very very poor. Particularly once NDombele started huffing and puffing
We should be rebuilding. But now we need a rebirth. Mentality, identity and ability have all crashed as a football club. I honestly think we heading towards a crisis.
No idea - is there cctv in the car park at Spurs? Is David pleat busy?
Would all of this have been averted if we purchased Skriniar in the summer?
Dier at fault for their first, putting his hand up instead of clearing the rebound. Dier in no man's land for the second. Dier lets Pogba glide past him for the third.
Agreed. I think you could argue that the defence as a whole don't come out of that goal smelling of roses though. All of them were culpable in one way or another.Defending wasn't that bad but cavani movement done dier
?Man United are simply the epitome of lady luck. They haven't looked very convincing, yet they sit happily in 2nd place and even turned over the sublime city. I genuinely don't understand how they are where they are, they look pretty average to me. But yet, the table doesn't lie.
Spurs, on the otherhand are the epitome of making things look ardous and laboured. From player recruitment through to player attitudes, manager selections and, well, the whole package.
I've not felt this pessimistic about the side for quite some time. Regardless of whose 'fault' it is. I have 0 expectations other than a lacklustre performance and a probable defeat.
100% the commentators will talk, during open play, about Harry going to United. Which will just make it even less enjoyable, and will take me back to the Fergie years and the familiar feeling of mid table mediocrity. Where it was a given that any half decent player would be linked their way.
Apart from.that. its all great.....
1-3 United.
