I'm not able to watch but I'm hoping that Southampton press themselves into exhaustion by 60 mins. That's a typical pattern when we play them anyway.

Our fans booing at half-time is an embarrassment even if it was just a small section. Can't stand it.
I don't think so. Normally I'm against it but they've done all they could to push the team on with the singing first half, and they haven't responded at all. They need to know it's not acceptable, although I fully expect Conte to let them know that now.

On the bright side, it can't be any worse second half..... can it?!

Not sure what conte can do apart from rip up his pre match plan and resort to plan b. Additional man in the CM and lose an attacker.

Also like to see us close them down when they are on the ball. Give them way too much time and space to pick a pass from the back.

We're fortunate it's 1-1! But Southampton always seem to do this to us in the first half before running out of steam in the 2nd. We'll probably win 3 or 4-1!

Make no mistake if it was Skipp and Bentancur in there with Dier in and someone with some actual ability at RWB this wouldn’t be happening but this is what happens when you have a paper thin squad.. you have to rely on numpties

That was one of the worst halves I've seen us play at home in years, and that's including Nuno, Jose and late Poch eras.

Conte is great, but that half was truly abysmal and fully deserved booing.

Booing the team off at 1-1 now are we? Ok.
I hate booing, won't do it!

But.....

I can see why people who do it regularly would after that performance. It was shocking! I wouldn't boo if we were losing 4-0 to Arsenal at HT, it doesn't do anything for me, but it psychologically can give the players either a kick up the arse or put their heads even further down.

It can't get any worse 2nd half, but the thing with booing which annoys me is those same people will be cheering and celebrating come the end of the game if we manage to find a win from here.

Are fans really booing at half time? don’t get me wrong we’ve been poor but it’s 1-1 not 4-0
The performance deserves to, and should be 4 down though. How can you watch that and think its anywhere near an acceptable level of performance?

We do miss Dier.
But Romero has been a class above this evening.
Very unfair to say he isn’t a top player.
Reads the game very well. Makes the challenge at the right time. Steps in front.
What we miss is a competent midfield that can pass and retain the ball.

It definitely seems to be me that thinks that - i am obviously not seeing what you or others are seeing - so could just be me. I think he is rash, out of position ocassionally and passing can put others into an awkward position as he did with Winks

We honestly have the worst fans in the league. Booing every time we are not winning at half time. Can't fucking stand it.

We haven’t had a midfielder who actually thrives under pressure and can dominate for so long now.

Saints playing really well tbf, Romero the only one for us matching their aggression and desire. Conte will sort it out at half time hopefully.
