I’m sure Poch knows we need strengthening, even more so now with son being away & Lamela & Llorente injured/awol

We need additions in January to secure top 4, nobody knows what will happen in the summer but should we gamble on the current squad to get us in the top 4 and fail to do so the consequences aren’t worth thinking about

Disappointing but not devastating. Some of the reactions in here are incredibly OTT. Poch came out in recent weeks to call out our fans for being overly negative, and this thread is a classic example. We've gone from brilliant to 'Spursy' in the space of three days? Give me a break.

It was an injury hit squad that had very little room for rotation or rest that ended up playing one game too many. Will we win the league? Highly, highly doubtful, but it's not over in December, and we're allowed a poor performance every now and again.

Get a grip, calm the fuck down, and keep the faith.

Son is one of those players who gets blinkers on. It is a strength and a weakness. Needs to set up players when in better positions rather than going for glory. The three points were more important than his scoring run.

He has Llorente. So by your pleasant reaction I assume you are quite content with how Poch handled things today. You must have a low contentment threshold.

I’ve already stated that not having Llorente on the bench was a major self-inflicted mistake.

But we lost the game in midfield, right?

Just because we’re all fucked of doesn’t mean we are alllowd to behave like headless fucking chickens. Our injuries caught up with us, not our mentality.

At least that’s what I believe after watching this group for three years.

Poor performance from the start everyone looked jaded. We were OK playing in second gear until they made a sub around the hour mark and then they really had a go winning every ball. All game we had tried a lot of little flicks and clever touches that just failed to come off and gave back possession. When they scored we were unable to raise our game and they obviously knew we were running on empty. Far play to them they made us pay.

I was surprised we risked Dele and also did not make some startling changes but then again we had little on the bench who could change things.

This game cried out for a Dier to shire things up and lead a charge or a Dembélé to take some control.

Bad performance and an opportunity list but we have eighteen games left and won’t play as badly again. Meanwhile we know that some of our rivals will drop points in the next couple of games so it’s not the end of our title hopes by a long way. Maybe it is the impetus to try the impossible and get a couple of quality players in to bolster the squad.

We'd have needed Adams to shire things up.

Today’s result sucks but we’re still on course to get CL games at our new stadium next season. Anything more would be a bonus when you consider all the obstacles that we’ve had to go through this season.
