How would we feel about winning the Champions League and coming 5th in the League like Pool did in 2005?
Fucking love it, wouldn’t give a shit if we never got top 4 again

I detest him but I’d swap Poch for Klopp in a heartbeat.
Not happening mate but good of you to try and cheer the thread up for that I applaud you.How would we feel about winning the Champions League and coming 5th in the League like Pool did in 2005?
We have been ridiculously good of late, bound to slip up eventually so I’m not going to wet the bed over a poor result to a decent Wolves side
If you seriously thought we could win the league over the money bags sides then you needed a reality check and hopefully this is it
I don’t buy the fatigue thing. Yes it played a sort second half but what was the excuse first half? It wasn’t a fatigue thing it was a lack of passing. Our touches and passing was off completely. Any forward passes we made were abysmal.
.
Suspect that if the 160 million pound net difference in spending between the two clubs over the past 5 years + far higher salaries being paid to players has something to do with it but you be youI detest him but I’d swap Poch for Klopp in a heartbeat.
Thought son was extremely wastefulI don’t buy the fatigue thing. Yes it played a sort second half but what was the excuse first half? It wasn’t a fatigue thing it was a lack of passing. Our touches and passing was off completely. Any forward passes we made were abysmal.
Alli hasn’t played since Everton and was the worst played on the pitch.
It was a mental thing. We were never at the races and we looked absolutely stumped all game. We lacked so much intensity we invited wolves to grow into the game and they realised hold on there is something for us here.
We seem to lack the mental strength to be champions and win trophies.
might want to read @Phomesy's post above on motor skills...may learn somethingThought son was extremely wasteful
Think it's more the quality of the depth rather than the quantity though. For various reasons, none of those three absent midfield players are good enough anymore.7 games played in the last 21 days with no dembele, wanyama, dier (for 5).
And midfield options of Winks, Sissoko and Skipp.
Tired of the inane comments on these match threads after a loss (but appreciate the balanced thoughts from many others).

"A shit show". Thanks, I couldn't find the right term to describe the second half but this works perfectly.People saying we are knackered. What a bs excuse for players not able to hit easy 5 yard passes. That 2nd half was a shitshow and deserves no excuses.

Cheers dude, but I was actually hoping for a bit of reinforcement on our chances of winning the CL as I've got a precarious tenner on us for an outright win at 66-1.Not happening mate but good of you to try and cheer the thread up for that I applaud you.
Then why didn't we seeing as we have had more scouts than Jimmy saville did.You look at Liverpool and in Robertson, Wijnaldum and Shaqiri they have three players bought from relegated clubs who could have enhanced our squad for the long and short term. Shows the importance of scouting. Throw in Salah who came in on the cheap and had turned in a couple of good performances against us in Europe.
We don't need to spend lavishly, we need to spend wisely.
Poch rejected the dross put in front of him and we didn't have the dollar to throw at the ones he did? Then why didn't we seeing as we have had more scouts than Jimmy saville did.
It’s frustration and disappointment, which I thought you could understand.
Fuck me mate that's brave I never put money down on us for anything simply because I don't see us winning anything but again well done to you but don't think the bet will come home.Cheers dude, but I was actually hoping for a bit of reinforcement on our chances of winning the CL as I've got a precarious tenner on us for an outright win at 66-1.
That's not called scouting, that's called cash. You look at Liverpool and in Robertson, Wijnaldum and Shaqiri they have three players bought from relegated clubs who could have enhanced our squad for the long and short term.
