Gutted about this one.

Was at a family event and so only saw up to half time, and it sounded like we were cruising to an easy win in first gear.

Then I guess things went a bit like the first NLD and we ran out of puff in the second half.

As always, it's the hope...

we seem to be able bring the atmosphere to the big games.
fail against the small clubs. Wolves fans carried thier players through yesterday's game.

Is that so? Thanks for the research, I never knew you cared so much.

Bit weird fella.

Have a good new year! I look forward to your scintillating commentary on Spurs continuing for a long time to come .... :ROFLMAO:
Get this Into your head .....I don't care, have a good new year yourself.

The midfield was non-existent second half, Winks in particular was as bad as I’ve ever seen him. He reminded me of the days where I’ve seen Mark Noble have a shocker!

I think the performance in the second 45 minutes can be summed up in a sequence of play when somebody won the ball back from Wolves ( or they simply misplaced a pass ) and they passed it towards a group of maybe 2/3 of our players who all simply left it to each other and allowed Wolves to regain possession, all about 35 yards from our own goal.
agree totally, I was still sure we would win the game at 1-0 up but when this happened I started too worry and the rest is history.

Really gutted about the performance and the result. I cant quite believe how flat (knackered?) the team were. No one really performed well - apart from Sanchez - and we were there for the taking.

The lack of atmosphere was telling from our point of view. Everything just felt very flat.

Fair play to Wolves they had a gameplan and they implemented it well. Their fans were bloody noisy all day too. I'm so glad Euston was full of them on the way back home :cautious:

At least my son enjoyed (!) his first Spurs match and wants to go again....

Unlike everton and bournemouth, wolves are pretty good in defence and disciplined, even after going a goal down. They gave us no space and kane didn't have one touch in their box. Them getting their goal meant we had to attack and they countered brilliantly.
I have to say we hardly had another shot on goal after we scored and really never looked like scoring again and our build up play was terrible, loose passing and just bad play, I think our own doing more so than Wolves until they scored and we fell apart.

The point is that we wouldn't have needed to had those players not been injured we would have been able to have rotated more and we would have beaten wolves. I am fine with buying players to improve us but we didn't lose yesterday because we haven't got good enough players.

injuries are always going to happen and thats why you have to rely on your squad depth, we all know our first 11 is fantastic, our bench needs improving tho especially when we have injuries which like i said are bound to happen

Like a morgue in here. Understandable, but onwards and upwards chaps. Get your ears round this too. Simply joyous (film it was used in recently is also darn tooting).

So if the injured players were our first 11 which of the players on the pitch aren't good enough and should we not ever have our own young players on the bench?
I'm not saying I don't want to buy players, I do, the sooner the better if they are good enough but I just don't think we can ignore the injuries we have suffered all season which had a baring on our bench yesterday.

im not saying nobody is good enough, im simply saying we could do with 1 more attacking addition to the squad, the rest of our squad is fine imo, like you say we have a lot of injuries, the reason the attacking area is more important is because our depth in that position is not as strong & llorente/GKN are awol, Lamela injury prone & Son will be off for a few games

Im not necessarily saying we have to spend money, even if its a youth player promoted to the bench, just having that extra back up of an attacking option of the bench will help a lot, as we saw yesterday we only had lucas as our attacking option on the bench, nobody knows how long Lamela is out for & what with son missing some games, we may have no forward options as presumably lucas will take his place

There was no point putting GKN on the bench if you're not going to use him when the time comes. He seems like a nice lad, so what's he done wrong? Felt he did well in pre season and thought he'd be given a chance. Who knows, maybe his pace and directness could have made a difference yesterday when needed.

We were definitely jaded.

Quality fresh legs in the starting line-up or off the bench would have made the difference and we'd still be pushing the dippers.

But if you don't buy what you need, you can't have any complaints.

Until we bring in what's needed to enrich the squad, this sort of result will happen when it needn't.

Can't win titles this way.

Gotta procure what's required.

Can you see us getting what is required in the foreseeable future.

If Levy doesn't give poch what he needs in the summer, I think he'll be off the following season.

That's what it all comes down to.

I think poch will want one full season in the new stadium and see how Levy supports him.
