To be fair, in his welcome interview he says his name is pronounced "Jay Clinton" not "Clinton Jay"
So, maybe Clinton is really is surname, and Njie is his personal name.
No.... N'jie is his surname 100%

Yes I am surprised Eriksen didnt change number I thought it would be nailed on that he would. Not happy he went with Clinton and not N'jie on the back of he's shirt also thought 7 would be a good number however 14 looks good too.
I'm surprised one of Eriksen Chadli Pritchard Townsend haven't taken No.7.

Ok - I am just going by what he said he name was - "Jay Clinton." see his 1st interview at 1:30No.... N'jie is his surname 100%
That kind of misses the point - he says his name is "nn-jay" Clinton - so having Clinton on the back of his jersey makes sense. He doesn't call himself "Jay." He says people mispronounce it like "en-jay" but it's more like "nn-jay." You can hear him clearly pronounce the "n," just with a different emphasis.
Anyone else think it's odd that 7 is still free?
18 is for Berahino obviously.
7 and 9 still not taken, another winger being teed up perhaps (eg Yarmolenko if he doesn't go to EFC)
