Not happy he went with Clinton and not N'jie on the back of he's shirt also thought 7 would be a good number however 14 looks good too.

I'm surprised one of Eriksen Chadli Pritchard Townsend haven't taken No.7.
Yes I am surprised Eriksen didnt change number I thought it would be nailed on that he would.

No.... N'jie is his surname 100%

I think with some Africans it may be different, I remember something about Finidi George the Ajax player being known as George Finidi when he played for Nigeria, commentators mentioned it at WC 94 or 98

He doesn't call himself "Jay." He says people mispronounce it like "en-jay" but it's more like "nn-jay." You can hear him clearly pronounce the "n," just with a different emphasis.

That kind of misses the point - he says his name is "nn-jay" Clinton - so having Clinton on the back of his jersey makes sense.

Anyone else think it's odd that 7 is still free?

18 is for Berahino obviously.

7 and 9 still not taken, another winger being teed up perhaps (eg Yarmolenko if he doesn't go to EFC)

Or they'll just stay empty now all season! :ROFLMAO:

No, the point I was making is that a few people seem to think he calls himself Jay. He doesn't.

The Clinton on the shirt thing, however...
