By the way, can you edit the title and put a question mark at the end. It's misleading for those, like me, who are waiting for the real squad numbers.

i phoned spurs merchandising dept. the other day and they said there is no news about latest numbers and names etc. on NEW players. Thought it was a bit stupid tbh. How long does it take to say Welcome Mr.Bentley, you shall be number *

Squag numbers have to be submitted to the PL this week, so the club already know thier numbers, foolish them not releasing them till so late, being how there is a kit launch wednesday

PYiddy, I think the squad numbers in the pre-season tournament could be half right. I expect some of the players will have those numbers, but some were just using lower, "better" if you will, numbers. I expect Gunter won't be number 2 and that Hutton will be. And I can't see Bent getting the number 10 if we get Arshavin or someone like that. Bent wore the number 18 shirt in an earlier pre-season game, so I would expect that is more likely to be his number. The other pre-season numbers could well be accurate. Dos Santos wearing his old Barca number 17 shirt... could that mean Boateng's off? Probably.

Not the way I see it. Bentley has an outstanding cross but not loads of pace - Lennon has outstanding pace but not a very good cross. Plus Bentley cost nearly 15 times more than Aaron - making Lennon much better value.
There's also the fact that no7 doesn't necessarily have to be a RM - look at the current holder...

I wonder how much the Ghaly shirts are going for ? Maybe they could be promoted as a kind of " do what Alan Sugar said Klinsmann's shirt was not good enough for..." or " great for relieving stress, just pull it off , screw it into a ball and stamp on it. "

Would be very happy to see Darren Bent wear the no. 10 shirt next season although if he signs I wonder what number Arshavin would have??
