I'm not really a massive fan of all this before we have achieved anything. We could still finish 5th whilst Arsenal play another season of CL football. They could even still win the league! How funny would it be then?

This season though if we finish above arsenal and if we do it with a few games remaining we need to call it something. Every year i get the St Totteringham's Day crap from a couple of arsenal supporting friends. I really hope we finish above them because i'm going to enjoy rubbing it in.

It's nothing to do with finishing league position, though. It is to do with their feeble UEFA recognised European trophy haul - pathetic for a Big Club who is always trying to beat down on us with their success. And that won't change this year, hence let's celebrate. So how is that like Mind the Gap-Gate? I can't see that it is.

The thing that amazes me is that they laugh at us like fuck, constantly - a constant stream of ridicule. St Totteringham's Day and Always in Our Shadow, etc. And they aren't going to stop if we are good little Yids and don't laugh at their crappy Euro success, are they? They aren't going to hold off if they overtake us this season because we didn't give them some of their own medicine (because that is what it is, after all). It's not a truce! They will still celebrate St Totteringham's crap this season if they can. They will still give it the always in our shadow shit. So what do we achieve for not laughing at them for what we can laugh at them for?

We have been considerably more successful than them in Europe and we should celebrate it...and rub it in the tossers' faces at each and every opportunity. It can't come back and bite us on the arse until they have won more than us in Europe...and that is totally different to laughing at them within a season for being below us while they still have the potential to finish above us.

Fair enough.
They can't win the Europa this season and that's good enough for me for now.

Personally I think the supporters of THFC need to change their attitude the way the squad is doing before our very eyes. That said, I also know that even at the height of Fergie's pomp they had supporters who whinged constantly, contested every decision the Old Beetroot made and constantly bemoaned his tactical ineptitude.
