Let's try to be as calm as Poch and the players are.
We are in a very strong position for 2nd.
We have an outside chance of 1st if we win all 5 remaining games.
We should win tonight, and will do well one way or another.

What a big game tonight...

Stoke have always been a tougher Opponents. They do have few injuries at the moment. Arnautovic may be back for the game. Their consistent LB Peters is out with 2 game suspension. So atleast we have something going for us.

Hopefully, Leicester dropping points gives us that extra energy to go into game & impose ourselves.

Rather than being nervy, I feel quite calm towards today's game.
Equation seems quite simple - Go for a win & we have a very realistic shot at title.

All about focus from here on. One game at a time to concentrate on and ignore everything else.
We will finish in the top 2 if we can will all our games so FULL FOCUS from the squad is necessary.

The fact that I don't expect us to win the EPL anymore has made me much calmer for this match. Especially as we are 5 points ahead of Arsenal and City.

Not nervous for this, just excited. We've been given a chance out of nothing, here's hoping the players make the most out of it!

Has Pulis made a call on the keeper yet? If he sticks with the youngster I can imagine we'll have a bit of joy as his nerves must be shot after last weekend. If he goes with Given I'll be quietly confident too - he's not the keeper he was 5 years ago, and his lack of match sharpness could work in our favour.

I think there will be goals tonight, I'm just hoping Dier and the Belgians (good band name) can keep their playmakers quiet.

Edit: Pulis! :ROFLMAO:

Pulis?! The reserve keeper has looked poor and Given might play. Either way it's a bonus Butland is out.

I wonder if Clinton will get a run out today. Son looked sharp in the (admittedly very few) times he got on the ball but had been generally poor. Thinking back I actually though N'Jie was more erratic than I initially thought but I'd like to think he'd be more useful than Son especially when the match gets stretched.

Mark Hughes said us having to win will help them as we'd be have to attack but to be honest I think that's only true if we're still needing a goal with 10-15 minutes to go. We'll stay solid regardless of the situation and we won't rush things.

I just hope we get into a comfortable 2 goal lead, not sure I can take a tight game :barefoot:

We play an attacking style anyway. If we were a team notoriously renowned for sitting back and defending and looking to catch teams on the break I'd be more worried, but these days we are more often or not the more proactive side when it comes to attacking.

If we play our game and attack and defend like we did in the second half against United, we'll win today.

That's a strange thing for Hughes to say because all season we have just attacked and pushed high up the pitch, this game won't be any different to all the others. We've rarely sat back and defended as we want as many goals as possible.

I wish i was calm i am in the office now and cant concentrate on anything!! in fact sod it im done, im getting out of here and think about having a couple of stiff liveners ohhh errr and call a tie day (Tottenham in Europe to me and you) as effectively if we win today we are almost secure for champions league next year. I will not dare mention the bigger prize for fear of fainting and nutting my keyboard.
Come on you Spurs.

I assume its a form of mind games. Try to put pressure on us by saying we have to go out and win. I just don't think it will work, because like you have said, I have not seen us play any other way and the one thing we have not been all season is rash and harrassed into having to win. We have remained patient and relied on our natural game. More often that not that has paid off.

After yesterday's results, I believe. Leicester need to draw one more and lose one more, and we need to win the next three to go top.
But one game at a time.

Not gonna happen, that's like asking someone with Tourettes to stop swearing.

Seen a completely different side to Lester after the spammers game, they are scum, and to tell the truth they may still win but we deserve it, our club, stuff and players have so much more class about them. You dont always get what you deserve though.

Expecting it to be a tough game, Stoke are a team we have always seemed to struggle a bit against since they became a PL team (though they're inconsistent, particularly over the last couple of months.). If we show the same focus and desire as last week though then I'm confident we get the job done.

It really doesnt matter what Stoke have done the past few months. They are a team we always struggle with. It is a must win for us but im expecting a draw here, unfortunately.
