If we can off load Soldado and Adebayor I think we should be looking at Berahino and Austin as replacements we would then have three quality strikers who can play on their own or in a two. Last season Austin scored 18 league goals and Berahino 14 goals in the league. With these two additions and a stronger defense I am sure we would have too much for most teams. After all the player sales and wages saved we surely have the cash to make this happen!! In my view if you have a threat up front it automatically makes you stronger defensively. I feel a lot of opposition teams see us a being a bit toothless and are happy to take chances throwing men forward even at the lane. We don`t have the firepower to take advantage of the possession we have and need to change that.

Well, it depends on how much money we have to spend. So far we've gained about £23.5 mil in transfers out and spent about £19 mil...assuming we shift stambouli for about £6 mil, that leaves us about £10 mil in our budget to spend. Not sure who you could get with that...maybe victor Moses???

The problem with strikers from smaller teams who score loads of goals is that they have a system that's suited to serve them, while at big clubs, they have to adapt, and not everyone manages to do so and quickly becomes a flop...

Players like Michu, Lambert, Holt and Ba are classic examples as to why looking at statistics, specifically goals scored, is a dangerous way of deciding a players quality. Every one of them has scored 15 or more in at least 1 BPL season and every single one of them failed at their next club.

If it was me choosing then I'd wouldn't go anywhere near Austin and Berahino.

i don't think berahino belongs amongst that lot, if he's there then so should kane if we're being consistent.

Ba has always scored goals he just needed games at Chelsea, he gave us a hard time in the EL

Think Austin would be a decent back-up for Kane but that we need someone of more quality than him, he suited QPR well but mabye wouldn't suit us as well, certainly works hard though.

Berahino could be a much better fit and would inject a nice bit of pace into our side + I think he can play up top on his own and out wide in a front 3 + would also be able to play with Kane and if fairly consistent proven player. Reminds me a lot of Defoe in many ways, pace, shooting, attitude but could turn out to be one hell of a player.

Otherwise Hernandez or the guy from Marsaille all could be decent shouts.

When you look around there are not that many more options out there and we need at least one forward who can play up top to give Kane a rest and ideally need someone who can play wide.
Of the options out there Berahino seems best bet. Knows the PL, knows a number of our players and has linked with Kane well for U21's.
would resist going for Austin though - dont believe would fit in with system we employ.
we might have had a list at start but think we thought Martial was in bag and then thought could leave forward position for time whilst sorting other areas.
then still think we should have a further look at Werner, make a decent offer and see what develops.
So Berahino + Werner for me, not much to ask for

I think the player we need from QPR is Vargas not Austin, we don't need the 18 goals in 35 games striker we need the 4 goals in 21 games striker

But seriously in a high pressing system vargas has managed to be more than a 1 in 2 striker

Here are his stats under Sampaoli(plays a high pressing system like bielsa) for the national team
2013 - 12 games - 9 goals - 1 assist - 959mins - 1 goal every 106mins - 1 goal or assist every 96mins - (Egypt, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, Spain, Brazil)
2014 - 12 games - 7 goals - 2 assists - 847mins - 1 goal every 121mins - 1 goal or assist every 94mins - (Egypt, Northern Ireland, Spain, Peru, Venezuela)
2015 - 9 games - 4 goals - 1 assist - 645mins - 1 goal every 161mins - 1 goal or assist every 129mins - (Peru, Mexico Ecuador)
(matches in that are not in Bold are friendlies, bolded matches are either competitions or qualifiers)

Now alot of these goals did come against the minions but he did only play as striker for 26 of those games according to transfer market

He would be a risk but on loan he would cover wings and probably offer us something we have been lacking. even if we have to buy his fee should be low though I don't think the arsenal interest is genuine so we would be fight a team from spain(it seems valencia or a qatari team for his signature)

I would be surprised if we signed Berahino, his recent legal issues and his attitude don't fit with MoPo's philosophy. Why sell Ade and bring in another guy who has baggage?

Actually berahinos style of play fits right in with pochs philosophy. The story is that his behaviour problem was more due to his agents enfluence, who he has now dropped and seems to have improved.
So to compare berahinos baggage with Ades is truly unfair. Also, this is a transfer that seems nearly certain to happen.

Regarding soldado i get the feeling that he'll still be here next year. I get the feeling that poch reckons he has something to offer. I certainly hope he can offer more of a return thats for sure.

You make him sound like a nutter. He was done for speeding. His attitude was that he said wanted to play for a bigger once oh yeah plus he got beat up by a W

You make him sound like a villian.
He was convicted for speeding on the motor way at 04:00hrs in the morning silly boy.
He gave the ball away in injury time where another team went on to equalise...he didn't appologies when asked so got assulted by Morrison with a punch in the face, Morrison was backed by other team mates, Berahnio could off pressed charges but never.

He's made some school boy errors but people are going way to far about his attittude
