Rodgers: "I look in his face and I see a genuine guy who is bitterly disappointed. It'll take a bit of time for him to reflect."

So, not a geniune guy who is truly sorry. Only a genuine guy who is bitterly disappointed that he got punished for something he got caught doing.

Liverpool are starting to remind me of some beaten wife, who spend their whole lives proclaiming, 'But I still love him'.

Rodgers: "I can't help but look at it & feel that the punishment has been against the man rather than the incident."

Well done Brendan, that is 100% correct, but 'The man' you speak of is actually a mouse. A nasty, cowardly, cheating little rodent. If this was a player from any other team they'd see that, so the bias is not against them, it's solely coming from them.

If Suarez had done this but happened to be playing for Manchester United, would all the Liverpool fans be up in arms about the severity of the ban then? No. It's only because it's also their loss that they're calling foul play and that is just ridiculous.

I'd be so gutted having a Spurs player acting this much of a dick all the time and I honestly would want rid. I'd feel pretty pathetic trying to make excuses for him over and over again, in the end you just have to put your hands up and agree when someone needs teaching a lesson.

They knew what they were buying.

Actually this is one time when I agree with Rodgers just a little bit. Suarez should have actually been given a longer ban, with the option of it being reduced pending him completing an anger management course, for example, 14 games with the chance to reduce this to 10 games pending his attendance of whatever sort of therapy they want him to go through. That way the FA would have been able to say that they were acting not only in the interest of punishing him for a idiotic action but were also giving him a chance at rehabilitation, which would have looked like a more progressive punishment. The end result would have been the same but they would have side-stepped a lot of criticism, and kept a looming extra 4 match ban hanging over his head for when he next acted like a petulant child.

And that's where your rather wonderful idea hits the wall, the words 'FA' and 'Progressive' being mutually exclusive.

He must of been told to say this, surely?
Then who told him I ask myself.

Even Harry would have made a much better job of this. Let be honest my grandchildren could have done a better PR job.

It is bizarre!
Maybe they've brought King Kenny back as some sort of pr consultant,I expect the pricks to all come out wearing pathetic t shirts for their next warm up.

I felt embarrassed for them the last time they did that

Rodgers says no one could've complained if it'd been a six game ban with a further six suspended.

Except that Suarez already said he denied the FA saying that a standard three match ban would be insufficient. So clearly if he'd been given six and six they would still have complained.

Can't believe Brenton was asking for rehabilitation. Shouldn't his own club be offering that to him? especially when you consider he always seems to be involved in some form of debate about his behaviour.

^^^ I am overwhelmingly confident Liverpool fans would have found a way to complain if it was a one game ban.

I was saying the same thing today. Week in week out this man cheats hurts and disgraces himself. I actually hate him. Nasty little man with no redeeming features. Apart from his teeth. Oh no. The are protruding.

It's not just biting...

When you watch that you really see what a vindictive little scumbag he truly is. Parker's been in the wars with him over the last couple of years! Shouldn't be allowed to play football with behaviour like that. Being utterly serious here, some of those challenges border on assault and he could seriously injure someone like that. I'd hate to have my career ended by that prick.

I would love it if he appealed, and the FA banned him for 20 games for all the fouls he has got away with.

Brendan is a joke. Luis showed no remorse but faked injury and sarcastically applauded Bran. His PR man was only sad at the ban.

Lpool didn't even consider banning him?! Because he did nothing wrong??

Why should the ban be aimed at helping Suarez. He now has 6 months to get help.

Even Lawro thinks the ban is fair.

If the ball was not even in play, is that not just assault?

Lpool are lucky that the last 4 games don't matter.
