Guys calm down, every single Summer you all lose your shit when teams spend 100's of millions, and then when the season gets going that huge spending doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of things. Some big club will spend millions upon millions and will have a disappointing season, it happens every season now - last season was the Chavs, Manure, Scouse and Shitty.

City with De Bruyne, Silva, Auba in the AM3 behind Aguero? I fucking quit.

Not much tracking back in that 3 though is there. They'll have to have a vastly better defence and central midfield than they did last season. Although I guess that guardiola theory that Henry put forward of it being the manager's job to get the ball to the final third and then it's the players job to finish it off. Those 4 would in the premier league!

Dortmund have signed Emre Mor & Sebastian Rode.. Rode confirmed he turned down an offer from Spurs to join Dortmund.. I'm happy we at least tried for him, he would of been a good fit for us... If Dortmund get there other targets Sule, Guirrero (lb), Zinchenko & Morata they will have had a great summer

When you look at the money going about now on young players, even if we aren't buying totally 'unknown' players (as is usually the way now with the net in any case) its clear there is some serious value engineering going into our recruitment. Alderweireld and Dier were incredibly, laughably cheap compared to some of the CB's coming into the PL these days..

I know literally nothing about this geezer. Wiki tells me that Villerreal bought him a year ago for 5.7m euros. Decent profit.
The extent of what I know is that he's only played 40 first team games and cost Utd £30m.

It'll be interesting to see which of him and Smalling play at LCB, since they both prefer the right side. I'm sure they're both young enough to adapt in time, but it could be a weakness in the early part of the season.

Spent my whole life playing centre back (well, or centre mid) and it's only from football forums that I realised there's apparently a difference between left centre back and right centre back. I'm amazed more pros don't feel equally as comfortable playing and tackling on both sides.

Did Villarreal not get Champions League this year, bit of a step down playing in the Europa League with Utd for Bailly.

According to Kicker, Mkhitaryan is being made available for 40 million Euros (28 million pounds). An ESPN article claimed today that Arsenal are prioritizing his signing over Mahrez, so that probably will happen. Also, Ricardo Rodriguez has come out and admitted more or less that he'd like a move to Arsenal too to join his good friend Xhaka, and Wolfsburg have to let him leave cause he has a release clause. Him and Sanchez on the left would be devastating. If they make those two signings, with or without Vardy, they're early and clear title favorites.
IMO they wont necessary be strong next season they may need time to settle

As for their defence, in all honesty LB and RB weren't the issue last season. Monreal was decent whilst Bellerin was very good.

Also the last time Arsenal had so many foreign players that was the beginning of the end. Bar Vardy they are going all out for foreign imports and could necessary back fire.

I don't get how Mkhitaryan will fit in. Sanchez and Ozil hardly track back as it is hence why they play Joel Campbell.

On paper they are making good signings but I don't know if they will work also there isn't that homegrown that both leicester and us had which gave us better seasons than arsenal last year(despite us finishing below them)
