Maybe it’s the romantic in me, but the idea of Sess on the left and Spence on the right gives me young Rose and Walker vibes. If we can even get 80% of those boys at their peak we’ll be laughing
They’ve got a nice contrasting style as a pair too, Sess is more deliberate and surgical in how he attacks, whereas Spence is direct and all about taking on his opponent. Could be a nice blend.

Depends how you look at it I suppose. Romero won defender of the season in Italy with Bastoni playing there, but Bastoni was the higher profile player as far as the onlooking world was concerned. probably because of who he plays for and what he's won etc. So as a statement signing Bastoni probably is higher but that doesn't mean he's a better player. Not that it matters because either way he's very very good.
Bastoni’s top of my wish list. Reminds me of peak Vertonghen at only 23. Would take him over Torres and Brenner

A lot of very interesting points made about full backs/wing backs.

If you take a step back a lot of the top ones in the PL are actually british

Trent/Robertson
James/Chilwell
Walker
Trippier
Tierney

Even the tier below like Shaw, Lamptey, Justin, Mitchell, Cash, Targett, KWP, Sess.

In terms of non-uk ones you are looking at Cancelo, Alonso, Cucurella, Digne. Full back is probably the most heavily HG position going in the league.

It's not a bad idea to try and pick up a championship prospect for this position, especially one that has stood out in cup games.

Ideally we'd already have a bona-fide starter and he'd be the understudy but we do need to keep making signings from the EFL. There is a lot of quality there that can make the step up. We kicked the tyres on the likes of Bowen, Olise and Maddison and missed out on real quality.

Our good old friend Jorge Mendes became Darwin Nunez’s agent in April. Not sure if that makes it more or less likely we sign him.

Latest rumours out there on Nunez is that he wants CL football and would reject United/Arsenal if they didn’t have it.

After the Traore debacle, I'm going to say we may not be using him as much as first feared.

David Raum is probably currently the second best crosser of the ball for a full back in the world behind only Trent. 13 assists in the league for a bang average Hoffenheim team
