how is southampton's backup right back and a player failing to make an impact in the championship going to solve anything?
I think he's a good RB. Know a couple of Saints fans who think he's actually better than Chambers. When i've seen him he's looked good.

If he didn't make an impact in the Championship then how come Southampton signed him?

Key players are under contract, dont worry.
They are all replaceable, and we won't be forced to sell cheap due to contracts.

Rose and Naughton isn't a problem. The issue is Rose being first choice. A
As back up and challengers they're ok.
If DL gets a good offer on anyone he'll get shot of them, that's how he rolls.
Fair enough, it's whoever we waste our money on as a replacement under our next shiny new manager and shoehorning them into the latest 'vogue' formation which is the problem....

Dembele - I love his ability to take the ball past players but he just does nothing with it. He really should be doing more with his skill set, it's very frustrating. I think it's become more of a hinderance to the team.
Is it fair to judge him?

He has been injured for over a year but still been playing!

Want soldado and lamela and holtby to stay.

Controversial one here

I think Ade is a priority. Dude is almost 30, on massive wages, sell him while he's playing well and people are interested before he goes off the boil again. And he will go off the boil again.

As for the rest, would be a shorter list of who we should keep.

For the last 7-8 seasons up until now, we've had some top quality in our team from Berbatov, King, Bale and Modric. These days we don't have one top quality player who is a game changer, hence why we labour and struggle through this season.. We're miles off City, Arsenal, Chelsea and to some extent Liverpool.

The problem with hip injuries is that they're recurring ones. They never truly go away and I worry that he'll constantly be bugged by this. I'm just a little disappointed with him more than anything. He's a good player, yes, but I think we have too many in that midfield and he'd be the first one I'd let go of, to be honest.

If we're going with a 4-2-3-1 then Sandro and Capoue are better holding players. Even Paulinho could do that role as he's had a lot of success there with Brazil, despite us never trying him there. In a 4-3-3 I'd want to have an anchorman, a box-to-box player and a playmaker. I don't think he fits any of these roles. He's not defensively disciplined enough to be an anchorman, and hasn't got the creativity or vision to be a playmaker. The closest fit would be as a box-to-box player, but even then he doesn't cover enough ground, nor does he contribute enough in the final thirds on either side of the pitch. He forever roams that middle space, picks up the ball and beats a man having to pass it off quickly to the side because he's not sure what to do with it next.

The thing is he is probably avoided surgery to play in the world cup, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets surgery next season

What is wrong with us and players that carry injuries? It's so frustrating.

Definitely easier to name players I'd want to keep:

Lloris, Walker, Vertonghen, Kaboul and Sandro.

Eriksen, Lamela, Chiriches and perhaps Soldado deserve to have better players around them and another season.

Everyone else has proved themselves to be uninspiring and replaceable!

Not sure i care any more. I think we've got a great team buried in the squad but fuck knows how we get it out. One thing for sure is that if we can't find a place for one of the best young talents in Europe in our team and that team then can't beat a dreadfully struggling team by being uncreative then we may as well sell everybody and turn whl into a fucking bowling alley.

tbh with the exception of Lloris and on occasion Verts there isn't one that is realistically irreplaceable - the majority are all good on their day but woefully inconsistent. The one thing which sets top top players apart from the average is a consistent high level of performance

rapidly rapidly coming to stage where i really dont care who stays or goes.. far cry from when i actually seriously worried for modric and bale staying.. we are not a serious club and all the signs are showing players know this too so im really not going to bother about who stays or goes anymore...

we have a shit dof who gets given 100million and buys plonkers and we dont even have a manager 100% really... plus a new manager will only come after world cup which means late july /augest so its going to be utter carnage around that time with the first 5 games of nest season wrote off cos he will want to see how shit dawson, naughton rose lennon dembele, chadli, siggy, adebayor etc really are whne they are put it up them... happy days....

We have a decent squad with a number of players who are very young or new to Premiership or both. Some of these have the potential to become game changers. Stick with what we have and we will come good. But it is going to take time and there are going to be bad games along the way, lots of them.

But panic and start making more random signings and we will forever be in a state of transition.

Sometimes you have just got to keep your nerve. (Not a popular message with the drama queens on here I know.)
