not particularly looking for anyone to leave, but I can't abide average players like Dawson and Lennon getting so many starts ahead of better players. we really need to start making better use of out better players. there's just no way you shouldn't be able to make a good team out of Lloris, Vertonghen, Kaboul/Chiriches, Sandro/Capoue, Eriksen, Lamela, Soldado/Adebayor etc

Dawson
Lennon
Naughton
Rose
Dembele
Siggy
Ade
Fryers
Gomes
Tim Sureshit
Les
Levy and Board
Kaboul (Too injury Prone now)

Then sell these players before we destroy their careers and are more than likely to leave anyway, not unless we get a world class manager who does take any shit from anyone, including Levy.

Soldado
Lamela
Chadli
Verts
Vlad
Eriksen
Paulinho
Chadli
Holtby

For me, Dawson and Lennon are good squad players. PL players who peaked early but know what it means to play for Spurs. The fact that our managers seem intent on playing them first XI is the issue at hand here.

I have changed my mind recently, I would put them down like injured animals and give them a peaceful ending.

Keep as 1st choice starting 11 players: Lloris, Walker, Kaboul (if he can actually get/stay fit), Verts, Sandro, Lamela, Eriksen, Ade

Keep as squad players/back-up: Rose, Vlad, Paulinho, Dembele, Bentaleb, Townsend, Chadli (much maligned on here but personally I much prefer him to Lennon or Siggy), Capoue, Holtby

Maybe keep:

Soldado (may still come good but he is, quite frankly, a complete joke at the moment- his inability to even hit the target, never mind score, has become almost comical. If we get an offer from Spain or elsewhere of over £15m I would certainly consider selling him at this point in time.)

Definitely sell:

Lennon (how many goals/assists in last 4/5 yrs??! Pathetic returns for an (supposedly) attacking player. He is stealing a living- I'd have him as the first out of the door)

Siggy (about 2/3 good games in 2 years- a nothing player. Get rid),

Gomes (How on Earth is still here?? Answer- Levy's stubborn refusal to sell for other than ludicrous price that we were never gonna get for him in a million years and has cost us millions in wages)

Friedel- (good servant but time to retire in summer methinks)

Naughton (not a premiership player)

Dawson (liability and plays like he has a piano on his back. Great lad but not good enough IMO)

Conclusion- By my reckoning thats 17/18 players to retain and priority should be a left winger and left back. Lets not do the 6/7 new signings thing again this summer it is ludicrous and we need to build a team gradually whilst freeing ourselves of the likes of Lennon and dawson who are holding us back

Both would still be starters at the bottom 13 clubs. Fact.

The frustrating thing about them is that we've seen all they have to offer. Some of what they've given us in years past has been quality, some of it rubbish. The last season or two from both players has been sub par, yet the fact that they've played here for a while seems to give them leverage.

For me, Dawson is a good 4th choice CB. Unfortunately, he's 3rd choice right now because Kaboul doesn't count.

Lennon would be good from the bench if he played 15 minutes a game for Eriksen or Lamela (who) rather than 90.

I just want shot of Lennon now, had enough of him would rather get someone in to replace him completely, same with Dawson, Townsend, Rose, Fryers, Naughton.

Guess what they are all English too and are totally shit.

Buy, play, throw away - on whims, The New Tottenham.

And they ask what's wrong with the club.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!! I have had my doubts of Lennon for years... Just can't be asked him anymore.

Didn't we have a too and fro about Lennon recently.... That is right, I have been proved correct... Lennon ain't good enough... Oh and if you have looked carefully I have had my doubts about Dawson for years too.

Probably everyone has had their doubts about both, I would've preferred to keep Caulker on board and that would've made shifting Dawson easier with homegrown (and clubtrained for squads at Europe) replacement.

But decisions on wether to keep them or not are not based on whims or recent form.

I would have kept Caulker too, but didn't he do something wrong? I can't remember what it was now, maybe some other member could share some light.

Rarely do I just talk about recently. Even Dawson, I have said many times in the past, he ain't good enough, to prone to just hoofing the ball. Loads of heart and passion, but is simply just not good enough.

Been saying things for a long time, if you care to look, nothing recent about how I feel. Other than I have got fed up after years of the same old shit and non-progression.

The thing is we have a good squad but we are severely lacking in effective creative players. For all the central midfielders we have none of them can dictate a game or control the midfield in any way.

The scary thing is that despite what we've spent we still desperately need to spend more, IMO. But for that players need to go. Sigurdsson can certainly go, I wouldn't even be displeased if Chadli did too. I wouldn't want Capoue to go because he's the only other DM we have, plus I like him anyway.

It's just the central midfield area that's too crowded, the balance of 'player types' is wrong but the individual players there are good which makes life more difficult in terms of thinking about who to get rid of to make space for someone else there.

If they are not challenging for a place in the starting line up in their best position, a youth prospect or have something to offer with regard to team morale or leadership, sell them. Fed up of all of these in the hole, multi positional 'clever', cover players.

Would punt Rose or possibly Townsend too but where would we find that many home grown player replacements in one off season?

We must keep this.... as well as finding a LB and LW and probably a striker upgrade if it's possible
Lloris
Walker Kaboul Vertonghen
Sandro Paulinho
Lamela Erikssen
Adebayor

Bench - Bentaleb, Soldado (unless we can recover 15m), Dembele, Chiriches
