I was told tonight (and believe me the person would know) that Adam genuinely hasn't made up his mind and was only focused on the world cup. I accept that the person who told me could have done so just to shut me up (as I have been badgering her for some info), but I did get the feeling it was true. I was also told some of the details of what Liverpool are offering, but am not going to post that. Only that the conversation ended "what would you do"? And a laugh. But it was "what would you do" in a "its a no brainer" way which worried me.

I thought it had to be three years at a club by 21, which would mean Shaw (19 in a couple of months) couldn't qualify as club trained (as opposed to home grown) at any club he transfers to.

as long as he is 21 at the start of the season, I believe the entire season counts. So, he will have 3 full years where he is considered U21 by the league.

Yea its weird because some sites say that its if they turn 21 after 1st jan and others say what I said above which I think is the right one

So shaw would count but with shaw being 18, we would give him a 6/7 year contract(which would be 4+2 or 5+2 contract). If you say that 27mill amortised by his 6 year contract it be an amortisation fee of £4.5mill a year.

Now on the 4th year of that contract we could sell him for probably the same price.

Those alternatives to Lallana are interesting, given they are both much better than Lallana.
