Moussa Dembele (Celtic) is not worth anything over £15m imo. Being successful in the one good team in a shit league doesn't mean anything. He might have scored a fair few but he looks absolute tripe technically whenever I've watched him play.
Van Dyke and Wanyama say hello, by the way...

Seriously though, the fact we've been scouting him for years, tells you it's not just the Scottish league performances that have piqued the interest. He also terrorised Citeh when they played them in the CL. He's done everything he could have since he moved there,

I saw him in one of the old firm matches, I thought he was brilliant, was one match though admittedly.

Yeah, I don't mean to say no good players have come from it, but I mean to say his form in that league is not particularly relevant, especially with Scott Sinclair scoring around the same amount of goals as him.

I'm not an expert on him, but whenever I saw him play for Fulham and whenever I have subsequently seen him play for Celtic, he has seemingly had worse technique than Sissoko. He looks clumsy to me, but a good finisher (although I've seen him miss at least 2 sitters each game I've watched, though that speaks for his attacking positioning too). I've only seen him play for Celtic 4 or 5 times, though - so not really an adequate sample size, but I've never seen anything that makes me think he's any better suited to our team than Janssen is.

I've said before that it's perfectly feasible that if Janssen had gone to Celtic he might have torn the place up and people on here would be bemoaning the fact that we didn't sign him. Celtic are pretty dominant in Scotland and it's a fairly cushy number for a striker who knows the chances will just keep on coming.

Patrick Schick would be a dream signing, I haven't entertained the possibility of getting him until now, always thought he'd be destined for bigger things (Dortmund,Chelsea), but if it comes down to us or Arsenal, why not, Arsenal is a total mess and any young player would be lucky to progress in this side under Poch.

I watched some YouTubes of him and he looked Bale-like - seemed very complete.

He's super silky, a complete footballer, with a good nose for goal (I think that primal will to score goals could be something he could improve upon). He probably reminds me more of Berbatov then anyone else, things just seem to slow down for him when he's on the ball. I recommend to anyone to watch him live, he's even more impressive.

The Sun claiming we're "front runners" to sign Dembele from Celtic in the summer.

They are also saying Dier is Jose's first target for £40m.
I dont get why, if this player failed a medical due to mysterious circumstances before, I doubt he has magically fixed that problem for us to spend a shitload of money on him

Never heard of the guy until now so thanks for the info on him.

There is a clear general consensus among Spurs fans (not just on SC) that Spurs are in dire need of 1, preferably 2, top-quality, pacey, ball-skilled and goal scoring wide forwards (even Pochettino seem very eager to get his hands on 1 or 2 such players).
If Son do fit that bill – i.e. top-notch WF -why then do so many see WF still as priority?
And, again according to general consensus, Son certainly is not of CF material (which is why Pochettino bought Janssen last summer after “testing” Son on several occasions as CF the previous season), which makes him a WF.
Anyway, basically what you and your “supporters” are saying is that there is no need for top-notch WFs as Spurs can't improve upon Son - and that’s fine with me  I am just happy you are not in charge of Spurs' transfers. Right now Son is being kept out of the team by a bunch of CMF.
PS! Son is a likeable character and, of course, I do wish he will turn into a big hit for Spurs.
My personal take is Son is a proven squad goal scorer and assister.

DO NOT sell him unless you get the improvement in the building and he proves he's better than Son. In essentially the same way as Son showed he was better than Chadli.

It would be mind numbingly fucking stupid to let a proven scoring commodity go for a promise of improvement. As we don't have an embarrassment of riches with finances or with squad depth to be making those types of gambles.

Does anyone watch much of he Championship?

I was thinking about LB options and remembered that Jordan Amavi was looking absolutely brilliant at Aston Villa before his awful injury. Has anyone seen him since?

Also to all those who want to sell Son.

Who has more PL goals this season? Heung-Min Son or Phillipe Coutinho?

Who has more PL assists this season? Heung-Min Son or Phillipe Coutinho?

Food for thought.

Coutinho is the second coming of Pele though isn't he?
So overhyped in the media.

Amazing statistics for Son, very much flying under the radar

Son has been vital to this teams success so far this season and he will continue to be called on. People that question his inclusion are probably the same that question Lamela's impact on the press and team in general.
