If they win the CL I could see him fancying a year in the PL to complete his sporting experience in the same way Zlatan wanted to.

It really would be the most amazing signing. People get so focuse on age, but some players just are able to make he sacrifices needed to keep in top shape and and we're lucky with injuries.

You never know I guess but whoever we get I trust them to make the right decision.

Alves is still quality and his level of experience winning all manner of trophies is something we lack. we could rotate KWP for league cup and fa cup games

Most players in football dreamed of playing at wembley at a young age in this country, the new one isn't as legendary but still great

Yea they may not be playing for glory but the fact they will be playing at wembley will be huge for the smaller teams

Yeah - I get the reason people think that way. I just think its overblown. It will have no impact on who we sign. And, it will have no impact on the matches we play (at least until we get accustomed to the pitch size). Teams don't magically play better because they are in awe of a stadium...

Personally would be very happy if we got Mahrez. Think he is a better player than Zaha and could give us that 'bit of magic' that we sometimes miss. Only concern is whether he is a Poch type player, but he wouldn't be a guaranteed starter with us so would have to work hard to get in the team.

Other than being 34 Alves isn't and wasn't the best right back in the world. Defensively he's suspect and no better than Walker. Other than may be Pique to an extent, Barca defenders past and present are distinctly average. Granted Alves has since moved to Juve but they've always been a class above everyone else in Italy. Alves will choke in the EPL... 34 and expected to maraud up and down the wing all game, no chance.

Plus he broke his leg this season and has featured in only half of Juve's league games... one to avoid.

i take it you didn't see him against barca or monaco recently then, he's an exceptional player and still in top shape.

I think a player of alves experience and stature is just what we need. Been there done it and will help the team through with his experience. Id say yes if the price is right and we have a big chunk left over to buy a forward thinking player.

Some of the media saying Liverpool are in prime position for Sessegnon, didn't one or two of our ITK's say we would be best placed this summer.

Would be a great signing IMO.

Lamela can cover the number 10 role if he gets fit again, unfair to buy a player just to sit on the bench.
