Very inconsistent and a questionable attitude though. He definitely has the ability and is no slouch, he's tall as well at 6'3". He just doesn't enjoy the hard work which just won't do in this Poch team.

Worked his butt off today. In the right environment who knows. In theory he’d be perfect could play wide or as a target man and we don’t have anyone like him. If he’s impressed this much with shit West Ham around him,be very interesting to see him with class players. Be very surprised if someone doesn’t take a punt on him.

Whenever I have seen him, he has worked hard and has a bit of quality and physicality to him.

Told by others he is lazy and has a bad attitude.

Whatmy eyes see and what I am told don’t match.

It would be a pricey punt though, he went to Wham for something approaching 25m, I'm sure they'd be looking to spin a decent profit on him also, having what is probably 3 or 4 years left on his contract. I don't deny he's got ability, but I still think he lacks that grit and determination needed for us. Any player would work their arse off away to Chelsea when relegation is still a very real prospect for the club.

I like him as well, and I'd happily let Llorente go and replace with this guy, but if he has a questionable attitude then there's no merit in it.

I'm surprised Alex Telles hasn't been mentioned more on here. He's a 25 year old LB for Porto and is having a phenomenal season. He's recorded 2 goals and 11 assists in Liga NOS and is averaging 3.3 key passes per game. He's capable of fantastic corners/free kicks and is one of the best crossers in the game right now IMO. If Rose is out the door this summer, Telles would be my dream replacement. He's the type of spark plug down the left flank I feel we've been missing.

He’s a really good player.

Porto and Levy don’t normally mix though, given the money they normally ask for their players and the fact that loads of the players in Liga NOS are managed by Jorge Mendes.

I've read reports of him having a €40m release clause, which would be an absolute bargain and make things easy for us. Certainly we'll recoup that money for Rose if we offload him as well. Transfermarkt also lists his agent as his relatives.

Interesting. Didn’t know that!

In which case we should be all over him. He’s quality.

Must say this will probably be most chilled summer supporting spurs I’ve ever had. Feels like whoever we add will be a bonus. Doesn’t feel like there’s an urgent need in any position apart from maybe Kane back up. I really thought Son was it, but we lose to much out wide when he plays centrally.

Given the Toby situation we may well invest in a CB or CM (dependant on which side of the Dier fence you sit).

At first glance I'd agree

But you never know what might happen if we receive a crazy bid for one of our better players

If there's one good thing about Salah having a great season, is that it puts another player in the 'galactico market' - might even stop some 'Kane to whoever' talk...

Bale probabaly has investment properties all over Europe, this could be just this years investment, I wouldn't read too much into it, assuming its true.

If I were a footballer and wanted to invest in property across Europe, there would certainly be no harm in buying property near major football clubs' training grounds.

Tbh though, I think this is a bit of Twitter nonsense.

He is, but he's moody as. As soon as things aren't going right for him he sulks and plays up.

Good player but not the character for us imo.

There was a story about him from his time at Werder Bremen, that Torsten Frings spotted the 'Champions League winner' stitching on his boots and asked him about it - from when Arnautovic was an unused sub for Inter. He said "it's something you've never won" or words to that effect. Which made him pretty unpopular with manager and fellow players.

If there's some truth to that, it suggests to me that his attitude is not right for us but he can probably get away with it at West Ham where he is one of their best players.
