I do say I am glad the Wanyama rumors were short lived and went away.... not a sophisticated player really. Is not good enough to play for Spurs IMHO :pompous::stop::mask:

He signed a new contract recently just like Martial did before Man United got him and he went for £35 mill + Addons not sure if he has a release clause..

Haven´t seen anyone else bring his name up, and the thread is about what we wish for, so here you go.

We showed during the summer transfer window that we have 20m+ to spend on an attacking player (in addition to signing Son for 22m). Those 20m are still there to spend.

Since then we´ve sold Towns for 12m and I´m pretty sure we can move Chadli for 20m during the summer window. Add 20m in fresh money for the summer budget and you have in total 72m and an available attacking midfielder spot.

Let´s just face it, next season will be a lot harder. Chelsea will be back probably, Man Utd with Mou, Man City with Pep, every club down the league investing, so let us just go for it.

Gareth Bale.

In addition to his obvious qualities as a footballer, he would help us build our brand and increase our marketing value before the stadium move.

Will he come? He has a 3 year old daughter and might fancy a move back to London after winning the CL with Real. I honestly belive he would love playing for us again.

I think the money is there, hopefully he wants to come and the club´s ambition is there.

In other news. Dembele in as a backup striker and move Fazio and Yedlin on. I hope CCV can be Toby´s cover. Not much replacing to do when it comes to Yedlin.

Batshuayi and Carvalho will do, don't think we need anything else..... Reus wouldn't hurt either I guess

Neither would come to sit on the bench. And i is Carvalho (DM William I presume you mean) that much better than Bentaleb? There's been a lots of hype about him but his development seem to have slowed - which is why no-one is willing to pay the asking fee of around £17-20M. I feel - through excellent marketing - the players in Primeira liga are the most over-priced and over-rated players in Europe if not the world.
Batshuayi is fast becoming a player "top" clubs are after. He won't be content with being Kane's understudy. I hear, without claiming it to be true, that he's gotten a bit of an attitude problem - which may not be the best when it comes to squad chemistry. And I doubt Levy will approve of paying £25-30M for a back up who's unproven in the EPL. Remember that Poch's said he preferred players with EPL experience.
Forget Rues, bigger and richer clubs than Spurs have tried season after season - and failed. He's just signed a contract extension.

Oh and Riyad Mahrez would be top of my wish list. Not much chance though but he is the player we thought we were getting when we signed Lamela imo.

Julian Wiegl(not a high priority I know)
Callum Wilson
Can't see any way that Dortmund let Wiegl go. They absolutely love him.

I too like Wilson, and hopefully he's back before the end of the season and can show his injury hasn't hampered him. Otherwise I can't see anyone, especially us, taking the risk shelling out good money for a player that could end up being perma-crocked.

So Wanyama went and lost his head again. He's now leading the league in sendings off with 3 already this year. For that reason I'd probably steer clear.

Which I guess is a little hypocritical as I'm a big fan of Granit Xhaka who also loses his head a lot.

Nothing quite like suggesting a player you have never seen play. You aren't a Liverpool scout are you?

:playful: seemed like fun,... I mean, how do you approach an outfield player to sign saying,"We want you to come in and watch Harry Kane play 99% of the time..."

"On paper" this german bloke comes from a position where he might say "Ja,... kein problem." He just popped out on whoscored.com statistically, but didn't realize I had just seen him play earlier in the day...

So I did tell a small porkie unintentionally, I did see him play yesterday against Bremen (only time),.... he scored in fact, but didn't think about it at the time I posted as I had never seen (noticed) him play before.... I was so chuffed we moved up to 2nd in the table I forgot TBH :giggle:

:coffee::borg::D:playful: there you go,... a proper scouting highlight Liverpool style :snaphappy:

He's been quiet this season....can't understand why.
Does this every year, except during the transfer window.

Follows the exact chart of a Liverpool supporter. Chats shit when they're buying players and no football is being played and then slowly shut up when the season actually starts and they finally realize they're still shit - next year though!

Mahrez, Kramer and batshuayi

If we qualify for champions league these would go along way to ensuring we not only qualify again next year but compete in the competition too!
