At Southampton he only made 3 signings and one was -
Osvaldo - 27

Not to mention he would regularly play the very "old" Lambert who was 31, Fonte who was 29 and Davis 28

Then Espanyol he signed/played in his last two seasons:
Capdevila - 34
Simao - 32
Colotto - 31
Garcia - 27 - played under poch until he was 29/30(when poch left)
Pandiani - 35
Garcia - 31
Uche - 29
Romaric - 28 on loan

Then he played
Verdu - 29/30
and etc(cant be asked to look)

Another myth busted.

Kante. I was excited about the Witsel link, but he's got some question marks around him since he's been playing in such a weak league.

Batshuayi. Can't think of anyone else that fits the bill. Can be lethal leading the line or play out wide in support.

Has he had a good season this lad?

What kind of money do you think he'd go for?

Haven't seen much of him albeit YouTube vids where, like you say he looks like Dembele with passing ability.

Him and Xhaka are a big reason why they are Top 4 right now. I personally think Dahoud is a better talent of the two, for what it's worth, and Xhakas been rumored to be costing Arsenal 30m. The prices I've seen rumored are in the 20-25m range. It's totally worth it to me, but I could see that being steep for us, especially when you consider we will likely spend a fair bit of money on a striker.

Looks a hell of a player. Covers a lot of ground in those clips - glides across the ground. And very positive with the ball.

The only link with us I can find was this

Here's hoping, because our need in that area is great.

RCB - understudy for Alderweireld, although Carter-Vickers could be the inhouse answer.

DM - understudy for Dier, probably need to buy here, although Ball could be on the horizon. Wanyama and Dendoncker have been the main links, but Topal who was linked has a touch of the Naybet type signings for me, fit and athletic enough to cope, but an experienced head to help nurture Dier and Ball. Kirschoff is the other name thrown up, CB/DM very much in the Dier mould, but that's more by fans rather than the media I suppose.

CM - unless Bentaleb is given the nod, we need to buy competition/cover for Dembele. Not sure Mason and Carroll are the answer. Theoretically could Dendoncker cover both roles with Winks also elevated.

AM/WF - could potentially do with someone with dynamism on the ball to help unlock stacked defence's, although Njie, Son and Pritchard could provide that once settled. Yunus Malli was initially linked, then Boufal more recently, and Ousmane Dembele.

CF - need to get a genuine CF who can slot in for Kane without us having to change the way we play (not new news I know), Batshuayi seems to be the frontrunner.

5 areas to address in order to better balance the squad. One (Carter-Vickers at RCB), potentially two (Bentaleb at CM) or three (Njie/Son/Pritchard at AM) could be solved within, so not huge changes.

I'd actually be fairly pleased with that.

I don't see it actually happening, but he's very intricate in tight spaces in the final third (which is smtg we've lacked recently), know's Poch's system, and would be happy to fight for his place with Lamela and co - as well as providing some experience.

Wouldn't stand out like a Dembele/Boufal deal, for example, but could be very prudent.

Wet Spam chairman thinks they're down for 2 or 3 "top" players with Sky suggesting they could be Batshuyi and Lacazette with Benteke as an alternative.

Awful story:

1) if he's had as good a season as they're making out then why would Liverpool sell him?
2) why would Liverpool sell him for pretty much what they paid for him, if not for an actual loss?
3) he's no better and more importantly doesn't offer anything different to what we already have
4) we need an upgrade, someone to crack open packed defences and this certainly isn't Lallana
5) as per all the others who've left Southampton, he's not pulling up any trees or turning any heads

Pretty lazy journalism as per the other story linking Arsenal with a £30m move for a crocked Sturridge.

I rather give Pritchard a chance than spend £20m on Lallana, both players are very similar to each other not just their education but the fact they do play well in certain systems and are better with good players around them to play off

IMHO Mahmoud Dahoud looks a similar player to Mason (and Winks), with better dribbling ability. I like him, but Winks could be on par a year down the road, If he gets enough opportunities.

Well Benteke has been whored around for the last 6 months by his agent, so there would be no surprise there. No way could I see the other 2 going there, they will have far better offers elsewhere.
