Pereira. Said it a couple of weeks ago. Quality player.

Have to say, I really wasn't paying attention to him but his stats in the Championship last year and PL this year are really solid. If you dig further in his appearances, you'll see that he rarely gets injured. Technically, he reminds me of a young Willian. I don't know what his defensive output is like but it looks like he has better decisiveness in the attacking third than Lucas, Lamela and Stevie.

I'd trade Lamela and Lucas for him and Olise and I reckon we'd be better off long-term.

Would be an exciting set of transfers that I hope we push through with. Especially Olise, I think he'll go on to be a stellar player for years to come.

If only we could do something like that but deals for both would have to get done extremely early because the suitors for both players will be lining up. Which we likes wont be able to because we have to sell to buy and I cant see Lamela or Lucas generating much early interest from anywhere.

I actually think Lamela and Lucas would have enough suitors at the right price because they have a good reputation. Lucas would be a great player for a team like Fiorentina, for example. Lamela would suit Roma or Lazio.

A lot of teams aren't going to be able to afford top prospects, where clubs like Atalanta ask 30m for their best attackers, therefore 15-20m or so for an established player would be considered a good option.

If we could fetch 60m for Sissoko, Winks, Lamela and Lucas we could easily get a player like Olise for a decent amount with money left to spend on a CB. Although I guess a CB is a priority.

What players would you take from the relegated teams?

If we're not signing Vinicius, I'd take Mitrovic as a squad striker and Sande Berge from Sheffield. Maybe Matheus Pereira from WBA.

Could do a lot worse than Tarkowski. He's an absolute rock at the back and very underrated.

Would much rather him than Andersen tbh.

Agree - Tarkowski and Dunk,, job done. 2 very underrated, but solid defenders. Let the FB's have the flair............

Signing both would be a smart move. If our CB options were Rodon, Toby, Tarkowski and Andersen while we loan out Tanganga so he can get a full season where he can actually play competitive games and sell Dier and Sanchez, we'd look significantly better defensively.

Sell-to-buy will certainly be the main principle, not just for the upcoming but for further transfer period. And by sell I obviously don´t mean selling the likes of Kane, Son etc (although there´s not really that many further must-keep players, for the sake of it let´s add Rodon, Tanganga and Skipp; I´m at a loss as far as all the others are concerned).

Money will be tight, we have some high earners with little to no resale value. Getting them off the books will be the first step, and we all know how this has worked in the past. I really don´t believe in a rebuild or lots of turnover - getting a few off the books, maybe even as loan deals, and then see what can be done. I certainly see more loan deals than regular transfers, not only for Spurs but for clubs everywhere.
