I was impressed with him when he played a few games at the end of the 10/11 season. Not so much in the games he played last season, but this run of games has obviously done him the world of good so if the rumours about BAE are true maybe he has a future with is.

Performed very well the few times I have seen them this term, I imagine he will return in Jan.

Watched every Sunderland match and he's constantly been a star. Their fan base absolutely adore him. If Levy rejects a deal for him, he obviously views him as one for the future. Sunderland have showed they will pay decent money for young talent, and from all estimations Martin O'Neill wants the money dished out for Rose.

Remember we are talking Sunderland here. They haven't had the best of seasons and don't have a great squad. But Rose has had a run of games and obviously his confidence is up. Has fate timed it right and he comes back into the squad when left back position is up for grabs?

Funny comments I noticed:

Last game for us yesterday bookmark this

exceptional.

if spurs want £10m for him - pay it.

just get this lad signed safc, do not fuck about.

I think Spurs will want nearer 15 mill.

I wondered if O'Neil took him off with 5 mins to just to let the crowd give their appreciation before he returns to Spurs.

One of the best players this club as had.

I have 3 Sunderland mates and each of them have said how well he is doing and that he has been one of the only good things about their season. One tweeted the other day sarcastically that they can't wait wait to be arse raped by Daniel Levy in Jan when it comes to the transfer fee ha.

If the ekotto rumours are true then I expect danny to come back and be our LB as verts and Naughton dont look comfortable

Perhaps the emergence of Rose at Sunderland explains the whole Assou-Ekotto 'exile'...

...maybe we are planning on selling Assou-Ekotto and replacing him long term with Rose?

I voiced my disappointment at the time when we sent him out on loan.

And some of the bigger boys in Spurs Chat were very mean to me...

''His England call up can't be far off.

He's that good he will probably win us the World Cup.''

Shades of Walker getting a regular run of games with QPR/Villa a coupe of seasons back. Seems to have pushed him on from the level he seemed stuck at.

He's a different LB to Benny obviously. With the right coaching he could be a very solid defender, although, and maybe AVB woud be willing to live with this for a while, not as confident going forward.

I'm not sure why, we've heard nothing for a while about it, I've already accepted LOL going in Jan. (Hope he doesn't).

Some critics of Rose, and he has made mistakes after all, always seem so fucking spiteful wrt him. I always defended him. Tidy player frankly and he only just got lumped into LB a short while ago. He's learning on the job and learning quite quickly it seems.

Akqa seems to think that Benny is off to PSG (rather there than Chelsea!), and that Rose definitely won't be getting a permanent move to Sunderland.:cautious:

I don't know about not as confident going forward to be honest - from what i've seen of him, he seems to be pretty handy for them at both ends!

Bennys going nowhere. Chelsea don't deserve him and the amount £5 million. Yeah right, he's worth double that and some.

jetset said spurs haven't even been watching him! surely that's not right ...

i think some fans hate him because of his sending off at villa and scapegoat him as the reason we didn't get cl football

I'll always blame that heinous display by Bayern for that. Nothing will convince me otherwise, even our putrid run of form late in the season.

Well if their fans are to go by, they seem to be utterly f*cked on Saturday then, as Rose will be ineligible.

It's like they were purposefully terrible. Oh, it still hurts.

I've just been checking out the match thread for our game on that Sunderland site - they've very impressed with the spiffy stats used by tottenhamhotspurs.tv on their match thread and seem either resoundingly negative or cautiously positive. Also, one of them referred to Mousa as a 'mammoth'.
