Sky Sports have Eriksen playing LW and Chadli in midfield.. wonder if that's right..

i would say so.. erikssen doing ok on left and all sherwood doing is adding an extra body to center of midfield to make up numbers and stop swansea dominating the ball.. they had 60% away to united.. they might of lost but still... just gives extra legs and body in middle of field.

Looking forward to seeing how Chadli does, happy with the lineup, obviously still crippled with injuries. COYS!

Doesnt sound like a 4-3-3, sounds like a 4-4-1-1

Whatever you want to call it - Its one striker which is the major difference.

As Tim said - It doesnt really matter about 433 or 4411 or 4231 or whatever. It is the roles players play on the pitch and one up top is the big change.

Tbh ill support Tims decisions until he gives me a reason not to. Just hoping that the '433 / 1 up top' brigade might be a bit more positive following getting what they want.

A bit of credit is due to Sherwood for the 433

He's taken a lot of stick for constant 442.

Of course we can bemoan the lack of a DM or starting team, but every game it'll be possible to find something to criticize.

At times for balance it'll be good to see some credit given even from those like me that question his appointment

Nothing indicates to me that he is fit.

He played a training ground friendly against Charlton in midweek before the Palace game. Scored a superb goal according to the OS, but hasn't been picked for the first team since.

Also the OS team news before this game mentioned Sandro, Kaboul and Vertonghen approaching fitness and Paulinho still being out. No mention of Lamela amongst other injured players, which suggests to me he is fit. At least fit enough for the bench.

I think eriksen will play 10 chadli will give support in defence to rose on the left.

Be interesting to see eriksen and Ade link up play.

Funny how we have players back fit and play 4-3-3 (4-2-3-1) after all the moans about Sherwood's ineptness playing 4-4-2 hey, and now we play 1 up front.

What is this talk of "the 4-3-3 brigade" and "4-3-3 lovers"? Are we lumped into different groups now based on our formation of choice? What if you want to see us play 4-3-3 to see how it will work, but don't love it or want to marry it?

Maybe Tim is doing what we all hoped AVB would. 4-5-1 against better possession teams and then go for throat with 4-4-2 against lesser sides. About time!

COYS

It's not a 4-3-3 because we have only 1 striker. It's a 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 so we really need those attacking midfielders to get up and support Ade at every opportunity. Remember that Sherwood said recently that Lamela and Chadli would cover up top when Defoe goes.

I've never been convinced by Chadli in that position though so I can't wait for Lamela to come good.

massive loss in midfield. if i was swansea player id be well up for it seen our midfield.

what.total.rubbish :wacky:

even with ALL the injuries, Spurs' midfield is head and shoulders above what the swans are fielding today....

please sir, the sky is indeed NOT falling :stop:

and forget the Spurs quality midfield if you like, but that lacklustre swans defense with the back up keeper? it is Spurs seeing that weak swans line up who will be "well up for it" today -- to be sure!!! COYS!!!!! :jimlad::woot::singing:
