As I posted a while back. His YouTube high lights only show his success stories, not how many times he dribbles into trouble on the edge of his own box. Perhaps that could be coached out of him, I don't know but that was the concern when we were watching him.

shouldn't be a problem the opposition don't get close enough to our area like the old days:whistle:

Manchester City are a disgrace to the game. What's the point in having opposition if you're just going to take all the talent. Put some faith in that academy that you are so proud to promote!

I know I should know better than to get excited about a player based on You Tube clips. But can't help it with this guy - if that's even roughly representative, this is who we need.

Breaking: Man City put in a £50m bid for every player on earth.
Excellent, my days of paying 4 quid subs on Saturdays for The Half Moon are done and dusted. Graham the gaffer will be fuming but you can’t knock back 50 mill

True. But the clips alone, don't lie... they show a player that's explosive, aggressive, fast and a decent passer of the ball. That said, there could be hours and hours of clips showing he has the ball control and shooting prowess of Sissoko!

Eh, it's not just 3/4 though; I think it's been 50/50 which is still fine.

Njie
Nkoudou
Sissoko
Janssen
Llorente
Fazio
Chiriches
Yedlin
Soldado
Aurier

Dunno where to put them:
Chadli
Adebayor

Compare that to:
(Good)
Davies (for the most part)
Wanyama (amazing last season at least)
Trips (for the most part)
Lamela (when he gets a run at it but nothing that has compared to his hype at Roma yet)
Vorm

Great:
Toby
Eriksen
Son
Dele
Lucas (when he's actually played)
Sanchez
Hugo
Jan
Dembele

Sure we've signed some absolute gods within that period but the club's scouting clearly isn't amazing. It's very hit and miss imo.

A couple more, we did make a tidy profit on a few of these

Stambouli
Wimmer
Paulinho
Chiriches
Holtby
Capoue

Forgive my little knowledge of this player, but is this the Dembele replacement? Because every man and his dog has complained that Dembele doesn’t score or assist enough. I see him as a pure dmf? Would I be wrong?

Idiots complain about that. We have more than enough goals in the team with Kane, Son, Eriksen, Sissoko, Dele.

:D I almost believed you, until you stuck the Sissoko goal machine in.
Maybe a big Vic replacement but he doesn’t come close to Dembele.

I've only just got round to watching this guy's vids. He's absolutely mesmerising :wideyed:. It's like the ball is glued to his feet. Yes he is a DM but he doesn't really tackle or intercept, he just takes the ball and runs away with it. Such quick feet and fantastic balance and really good quick short passing as well.

I can understand the Dembele comparisons because he does the same thing as Moussa but in a totally different way. Moussa is phenomenally strong and players just bounce off him. This guy relies more on close control and balance. With the obvious caveat that i've only watched him on YouTube vids (which as we know can be very misleading :cautious:) I think he'd be perfect for us.

Looks good on You Tube. He seems to break forward with the ball at pace and has an eye for a pass. Seems to have good control in tight situations. Would like to see what his faults are as well but looks like a good player.

Reminds me a lot of Kante in the way he runs. I’d say he’s better on the ball but miles behind in terms of defensive ability but you’d guess Poch would be the ideal man to bring that out of him

The lad certainly looked promising in the clips that have been provided in this thread, I'll not deny that.

However, the bit I made bold, I didn't personally see that. I thought he looked unorthodox, not too dissimilar to Bolasie in style.

It was like he's just about in control of not being in control.

He also got 6 assists in the league season, not bad for a DM playing in a double pivot.

Honestly he is a fantastic talent and with Poch's coaching and guidance he could become an absolute beast.

There are always risks with any signing but this guy has the right attributes to be a success. We should be making him our CM signing.

Went to see Lyons vs Amiens last year so have seen him in person. Must say I was a little meh. Mainly went to see Fekir and he only came on for last 10 but set up 2 goals. Was very impressed. This was against Ndombeles parent club and was a very small sample to judge. This added to the large alcohol intake during my boys weekend away must say I wasn't overawed by him. Totally against his YouTube clips which make him seem the perfect choice. Lyon was a fantastic city and stadium by the way. One I would highly recommend.

Surprised they allowed him to play against his own club.
