To me Aurier is a bit too clumsy as a defender to put up against players like Hazard and Willian. On that basis I'd go with Trippier who also has a superior final ball.
............................Lloris
...................Sanchez Toby Vert
Trippier .............................................Davies
....................Dembele...Dier
............Eriksen.....................Dele
..............................Son

Yes, I would have a feeling of impending doom with a rash tackle from Aurier against either of those two.

My only fears against Chelsea is Willian as he's class and bang in form, and Hazard doing his usual act of doing bugger all for weeks, then having a blinder against us.

Other than those two we are streets ahead of them. Unfortunately they have that annoying West Ham tendancy to raise their game against us. Even without Kane this is a very winnable game if we are on it

Maybe I'm far to negative for my own good , but I just don't see this as a winnable fixture at all. No matter how poor Chelsea are, we always find spectacular ways to let them get one over on us.

Like I said, our record is truely horrible at the bridge. Why are people so confident we can win ? We have no Kane and have never beaten them in premier league history.

Sorry boys, but just trying to get a bit of reality here. These are not Bornmouth or Swansea. This is Chelsea at the bridge, a team that notoriously raises their game against us all the time and a set of **** supporters that hate us. I see nothing else but a standard spurs loss, which in turn will invite Chelsea right back into the mix. People underestimating chelsea like we always do.

Hazzard IMHO is a classless twat and although I recognise he can be a game changer, when he decides to show up, hopefully this is not one of those games.
They (the team and Conte) are in disarray and now is the time to get our revenge.

Because this is the best Tottenham team in living memory (for most of us at least). Not beating them at the Bridge has nothing to do with the current set-up. Or are you seriously suggesting that you believe in curses.

We may not have Kane, but neither do the teams that get results off Chelsea. They hardly ever show up against us. They get lucky. We will beat them at the Bridge one day... why not now.

Don't understand the comments that Chelsea never turn up against us. The win record they have over us is not lucky.

Totally agree mate. We have gone a pathetic 28 years without a win at the bridge and you got Spurs supporters claiming Chelsea get lucky all the time. Yes I agree, Chelsea do get a bit of luck against us at times, but it's own bloody fault for dominating games and letting the standard Spurs fuck up ruin all our hard work.

We are our own downfall and I just find it baffling how some of our supporters are so confident of beating a team we regularly lose against. This happens every season, we wax lyrical about our team and talk about how better we are than Chelsea, only to be left pissed off at the end when the inevitable happens and Chelsea manage to get the win.

I'm just trying to get a bit of reality here. Yes this is a great Spurs side, but our record to the Top 6 sides away is still extremely poor. Our away record against Chelsea is beyond pathetic. I for one hope we smash Chelsea to pieces or get a draw, which will be a great result. The reality is, we will lose to Chelsea Sunday like we always bloody do!!!

Our away record against the top 6 sides is no different to any of our rivals bar City

It is baffling, isn't it. It's like remembering a few games over the last few years where we should have won, but it's decades of bad results. Yeah the team personnel changes but the fans' and club's approach to the game is consistent. And even when we "should" have won, there's only so many times you can argue that.

The only thing I'd say different to your post is I'm not convinced we will lose but definitely very cautious of the game, can't agree with the sentiment they never turn up etc.

Not really mate. We have won roughly about 5 games in the last 100 games against the top teams away from home ( check it out ). Name me another Top side that has a worse record than that ? Anyway, my point is not just about these games, it's more to the fact that we always underestimate Chelsea and wax lyrical about ourselves, then we are left extremely frustrated when Chelsea beat us again. I'm personally not confident at all. Nothing would give me more pleasure than being wrong, but unfortunately I think I will be right on this occasion. We will lose I'm pretty certain. :(

The past 25 years aren't really relevant though, for example City were playing in League 17 years ago but that doesn't have any bearing on today does it? I'd wager their record against most teams in the league historically is worse than their direct rivals. Referring back to these records doesn't make sense when you try and form an argument about today's games because they're historical and have no bearing on today so therefore the current players and management don't have the power to change history. What's more we haven't been a 'top side' in the last 25 years so comparing our record to our rivals is a total non starter.

Also I'm not sure if a couple of positive fan predictions have any bearing on how the player's perform on the day.

But it does have some relevance mate. Not winning at Stamford bridge in 28 years is proof in the pudding. Even the best Spurs side we have seen in years regularly struggles against Chelsea season after season. It's definitely a mental block thing mate sorry. You can't tell me it doesn't play on the minds of the players when we go to Stamford bridge. They all know this horrendous record we have and I'm almost certain it plays a factor in our results at times. Admire your optimism mate but to sit there and say "Chelsea have been lucky all the time " is plain ignorance. Certain games we have been unlucky, but it's all down to our own fault. Let's hope we can end this Hoodoo at the bridge Sunday.

Why are you creating a straw man argument?, my post isn't pointed towards any optimism nor did I say "Chelsea have been lucky all the time" that's utter nonsense. I don't even know what point you're making anymore?
