Chelsea have been playing that higher defensive line this season and I think that's something we can exploit. If he's fit I'd play Defoe. He'll sit on the shoulder of the last defender and should be able to do some damage. As such my team would be:

They were yes but they have now abandoned that system because it was leading them into oblivion !

So we need to play to our strenghts and I really believe that we have enough firepower to beat them now.

It won't be easy but we are better equipped than they are. It is a massive game for our ambitions and the players and our fabulous fans will experience a glory glory night to treasure on Thursday.

If Bale is not fit (as is possible), Spurs need a fast outlet and Falque is not fast (nor are Krancjar or Pienaar), so time for Andros Townsend to make his premiership debut - possibly on the right wing with Modric moving to his better left side.​

Walker right mid would work well. We would have a very solid defense plus not lose the pace at right mid

I do think parker needs a rest thou he does look abit tired the last two games! but no way can we afford to rest him against chelski!

It has to be Parker and Sandro for me, negative or not. Probably go with Kaboul and King to battle Drogba, 2 full-backs and an attacking three of VDV, Modric and Bale interchanging behind Ade.

I'd go with this, however I would start with Bale on the right, VdV in the centre and Modric on the left. Bale cutting inside to shoot or run directly at their centre half or pass to an overlapping Walker could give Chelsea a few problems.

If Bale isn't fit then I'd go with Kranjcar on the right, not much pace but a very clever player that would give Cole a new type of problem. He could also interchange with VdV.

Would love to see Townsend get a run out but maybe a bit too big a game, then again didn't do Danny Rose much harm a couple of years ago.
