Yeah I've been trying for the last two hours!

Anyway Lennon looks like he's going to be our for quite sometime...sounds more like 4 week - 6 weeks...rather than 2.

By the sound of Kevin Bonds comments Bale wont be playing

Whatever gave you that idea?

Tottenham assistant manager Kevin Bond has told talkSPORT that their injured triumvirate of Aaron Lennon, Gareth Bale and Jermain Defoe, will not be risked against Chelsea if it could harm their fitness in the long-term.
Welsh winger Bale and striker Defoe sat out their 1-0 victory over Sunderland while Lennon was forced off in the first-half and replaced by match winner Roman Pavlyuchenko.
And Bond believes Spurs manager Harry Redknapp will not risk the trio in Thursday’s crunch clash if it could put them out for a longer spell on the sidelines.
He said: “It’s difficult to see how Aaron Lennon, who came off with a hamstring injury, could be fit in four days. With Gareth Bale we’ll have to see how it is but it’s a sprained ankle or something like that and Jermain Defoe has done his hamstring also.
“If you’ve got a hamstring injury, no matter how minute it is, whether you can get back within seven days, which is what they need to do, [would be difficult].
“We’ll have a good go with all of them and see where we are but as important as it is we wouldn’t want to play them in one game and then risk losing them for half a dozen matches. We need to take a look at the bigger picture.
“If they’re available and feel they can get through the majority of the game then the manager [Harry Redknapp] will consider them, if not we’ll just have to do without them.”

My money is on Bale being fit for it and Defoe will be given more time to recover for when the games come thick and fast. Obviously Lennon won't be fit.

I think Bale will be risked. Sprained ankle can be strapped heavily.

If not, I'd probably like to play Townsend to provide a bit of pace and width. Kranjcar deserves a go, but with lennon out, we need pace.

..........Brad
Kaboul Gallas King
Walker ...........BAE
.......Sandro
....Parker....Modric
.........VDV
..............Ade

Picked this team on what we know and from those availble today. Always a risk that King will pull up lame for two games in such a short time. Bassong could come in for any of the back three if necessary.

I can't see King making this one. My guess is Gallas and Kaboul.

I obviously would prefer King vs Chelsea, but if there is just a slight chance he might get injured playing too many games in a short period of time I hope he's rested. We need him to stay "fit".

Sorry, on the article i read it didn't show the comments saying 'if theyre available' and 'we'll have a good go with all of them and see where we are', the one i read sounded much more negative without those quotes!

Lets just hope he is fit because without Bale we lose alot of shape and creativity.

Parker on the right would be good? NAY

I know what the thinking is, helping the right back etc, but Parker is an all-over-the-pitch player.

IMO this needs Sandro sitting, shielding, stifling and Parker roaming, running, sticking it about a bit.

Modric can play anywhere, so I'm happy for him to have a free role left or right.

They haven't played such a high line recently.

I would guess if Defoe is fit, which sounds likely, Harry will play him and Ade up top.

Friedel
Walker - Kaboul - King - BAE
Sandro - Parker
VdV - Modric - Bale
Adebayor

this^

It allows us to pack the midfield against a very dangerous rival, it allows luka to stay in the middle, it gives us protection with the 2 holding players..

totally agree with side and formation for this particular game.

Their build up play is so slow, Sandro and Parker will mop up.

I reckon we could do worse than give Townsend a start on the left wing. Pace, width, goal threat. Has impressed me almost every time I've seen him. I jknow it's a big game, but....they all are....and we need three points.
