Well not watching on the box for a change. Gonna take my two boys up the lane to watch their very first Spurs match, something I have been longing to do, though a bit nervy as they are both Autistic, so not sure how they will cope with the noise, etc. That said the youngest has constantly been running around the house singing "Harry Kane, he's one of our own", so clearly looking fwd to it :)

Hoping for a positive result, and would be nice to see Lamela have a mom.

Off topic, but does anyone know somewhere decent to park the motor, as this is something I have not ever done before when normally at home matches. Been looking at this place https://www.justpark.com/profile/selbytrust/?rating=4 but not sure if there is any where to park for free?
Don't know about parking as I live in Belfast but I hope you and especially your boys enjoy the game.:)

It's simply the principle of taking away the last of the live football from the free-to-air channels. It's not right.

And even though we all know how to watch games, it's much more difficult to make watching football a family event now (great for getting your kids into supporting your team) if you've got to all crowd round a laptop or connect some shit up to your tv and hope streams don't drop out/wifi go down etc.

It's not that we can't see it, it's that BT have made it much more difficult, expensive and annoying, and are telling everyone what a huge favour they've done the viewing public and supporters.
Get a chromecast dongle and flip to your TV.
Works great for me.

I'm planning to do this as I do stream most matches. How good is the quality when casting from the desktop? I know you can mirror anything from google chrome but I understand there is a way to cast from your desktop so you can still use programs such as Acestream?

Lloris

Davies
Verts
Fazio
Walker

Stambo
Mason (look to take him off c.60)

Chadli
Eriksen (off c.60)
Townsend

Kane (off on 60 if we're a couple of goals ahead)

Basically, full strength side, we really need to try and get this game won early so we can rest a few more before the CC final

XBMC its called kodi for Android or you mirror the whole screen.
Takes a few hours to download and configure XBMC ( or you can buy a android box and plug straight to your tv)
I watch HD movies and programs through chrome cast, downside is takes a few minutes to load and flip to tv and yes they come through in HD on your tv.
Google has thousands tutorials on casting through XBMC and adding every channel available on the planet.
It's an incredible bit of software.

I think that's underestimating Fiorentina a fair bit, personally.

I disagree. Firstly, they won't be putting out a full side out as, like us, they're right in the midst of a close run fight for the Champions League places in their league. Secondly, they've just sold by far their best player. Thirdly, the side I've listed comprises of many players who would be first choice for most sides and are completely in contention to be first choice with us. Townsend, for instance, is definitely not outright back up to Lamela, while Chadli has been first choice for most of the season and played extremely well, and Dembele is currently first choice and playing extremely well. Stambouli is another who can realistically consider himself in first choice contention given that lately he's the first to come in when either Mason or Bentaleb are out, and Paulinho is playing more and more at the moment, playing pretty well too, and will certainly be eyeing up a resurgence back into the first team. Then in defence, Kaboul, whatever we think of him, started as first choice this season while Fazio definitely didn't leave his duties as Sevilla captain to be a bit part player here. Davies too is a first team regular and I'm has every chance still of making the left back spot his own, while Vorm and Yedlin may of both come as back ups but, having both just gone to the World Cup with their nations, with the latter having particularly impressed, are certainly of a high calibre. Yedlin at least has every chance of become first choice at some point, while Vorm would at any club who didn't have one of the top 3 goalies on earth. The only player in my side who is clearly nowhere near the usual incumbent of his spot is Soldado, and even if he's had a bad time with us, he's a player who has made a career of being an exceptional striker.

My point being that I don't think I'm underestimating Fiorentina, I'm just very confident that our squad is of a very high quality in all areas at the moment.

#thfc Pochettino has a fully-fit squad to choose from again as Spurs go into a busy period - six games in 11 days in three competitions.

#thfc Pochettino says Spurs' busy schedule is a sign of their success so far & that everyone should enjoy this moment http://bit.ly/1EPWD1e

He's corrected the tweet to six games in 17 days. Almost did a spit-take at seeing six in 11!

will like Ade, capoue, kaboul to have some involvement in the next two games.

Reason behind this is next weeks game, we can't expect these players to turn up against Florentina match fit and also wanting them to believe they are part of the squad and their performance is required to be 100%.

even being on the bench will suffice.

I'm going to say something controversial...

Fuck the league for the next two weeks. I want us in the Europa Final and I want to win a cup next week, much more than I do CL football.

I've always thought that CL should take priority, but the idea of the team lifting a Cup takes huge precedence. And fuck it, it's only West Ham. Play the squad cack against them and best 11 tomorrow night in the hope we can play a slightly weakened team in the second leg next Thursday before a full strength 11 again for the cup final.

And as a sidenote I don't want Vorm starting any of those games.

Disagree. No reason why we can't play two very strong sides - tomorrow night and against West Ham, they've just had a 9 day break and its not like we're away from home facing a lot of travel.

A bit of tactical rotation IMO, but that's it. Both games are equally huge IMO, and we then reassess next week in terms of how to handle the away leg before the final, hopefully we'll be able to leave a few at home for that.

And I would never advocate an attitude of fucking off the league games when we're bang in the mix for top 4. We should be aiming to win every game from here on in and giving our all to do so.

I'm sure that's what Pochettino will be doing anyway, and I expect him to manage the squad carefully in a way that gives us the best possible chance in every game we play. But I certainly don't expect him to write any games off before we enter this critical period, that would be crazy.

I dont necessarily mind capoue because he doesnt have a leadership role and therefore wouldnt effect the mindset as much and also, he's semi capable of bringing something to the team. Kaboul and Ade most certainly would affect the mindset and harmony of the team due to their leadership roles and also, neither are capable of bringing anything to the team. Overall, I dont want to see any of them in the 18 again.

Yes, I agree we need rotation in the busy period, but we also need to keep the squad happy and to not disturb the mentality or harmony of the team. We have enough depth to rotate some, in theory. We have Fazio/Dier, Vlad, Davies, Yedlin* at the defensive positions. We have Stambouli, Paulinho, and Dembele at the CM2 positions. We have Townsend, Chadli and could probably use Yedlin* on the wings. We could use Chadli and Dembele at the #10. We have Soldado and could use Chadli at striker.

That doesn't include the youth we could potentially use like Winks, Onomah, and maybe Ward.

All in all, if we rotate smartly and could avoid injuries, we'll be okay. As is the case with the rest of the season. We'll be in even better shape if we're able to, by a stroke of luck, open up a 2 or 3 goal advantage tomorrow in the home leg of the EL. That way we could give some rest to guys like Verts, Kane, Eriksen and the CM's in the next leg to keep them fresh for the final.

I think Fiorentina are much better than you're giving them credit for, and you're seriously overrating much of our squad. They are 4th in Serie A, fighting for a CL place as you say, which is no more of a distraction than our cup final, and more a demonstration that they're a good side. Though they've lost Cuadrado they still have a strong squad of players. I don't agree that Paulinho is 'playing pretty well' at the moment, at all. Kaboul is a liability and has given away at least one goal a game in recent appearances. Yedlin has never played a game for us and is a mental choice. He is nowhere near becoming first choice, at all. Soldado cannot score or seemingly do anything else anymore, and is a broken footballer.

I also think you're forgetting or ignoring our traditional Europa malaise, where we have consistently been disappointing and under par compared to our league performances against any but the weakest opposition.

Suffice to say, I highly doubt we'll see your line-up, but if we do, we'll be out this round.

IMO.
