Most of our better prospects that are of age to play competitive games are on loan.

Even Ceballos, surely couldn't be any worse than whats currently on display? Walker-Peters, Onomah, Winks, anybody! Surely there is a good player somehwere in the club?

We could alternatively just keep playing a 4-2-3-1, changing a player here and there, play no wide players and then look on amazed that we have no width... etc etc. At this point I'm looking for any form of entertainment or something interesting. If Poch can't get wins/good football at least give me a left-field formation and something interesting tactically to discuss! ;)

Problem is....

The fans would then destroy them for not being Ronaldo after 5 mins...

So better off not playing for us, leaving. then going to a club where the fans will give them a chance to develop and support them.

Unlike what many of our fans are doing to Kane, Lamela and co.

I was having a joke, but seriously, look at my formation, I know the 4-2-3-1 is a big problem with us.

We will not get anything left field with Levy in charge.

Lloris

Dier - Kaboul - Vertonghen - Davies
Capoue
Mason - Eriksen
Lamela - Soldado - Kane
Which could evolve into a 4-4-2 depending on what we are up against. Regardless of who plays, we should stick with that team for next five games irrespective of the competition, making at most two changes per game (none involving Adebayor) and using a total of 16 players if possible. Then evaluate. If we are doing well, sell the rest, if not, sell the ones in that 16 who arent doing well. Give the others a chance, and then evaluate.

Lloris
Lennon Dier Vertonghen Rose
Stambouli Dembele
Chadli Mason Townsend
Soldado

I don't think any Academy players should be integrated into this shower of shit just yet, could well ruin them.

Or we can go for Baldini and Levy's eleven

Vorm

Dier Chiriches Fazio Davies

Lamela Capoue Paulinho Eriksen

Chadli Soldado

I wonder if they can make a team ? Presumably they signed them to make us a better team post Bale. Unfortunately it would probably get relegated.

Lloris

Dier Chiriches Vertonghen Davies

Mason Stambouli

Lamela Kane Chadli

Soldado
Let's face it Chiriches can't perform any worse than what we've seen today and he proved in games last season there's a player in there. Capoue I wouldn't lose any sleep if I never saw him in a spurs shirt again, how many tackles did he bottle today? Eriksen doesn't deserve a start on current form

Well, there's still plenty of time to muse over this, and to be honest, I'm past really caring anyway. However, I'd like to see us go out there like this:

Lloris
Dier ??? Vertonghen Rose
Stambouli
Mason Eriksen
Lamela Kane Chadli

No, we haven't signed a new centre back, it's just that I have no bloody clue who to put there. I want to see Dier actually given a go at centre back with Vertonghen, but I reckon he'll end up on the right since Naughton is out. If that's the case then I couldn't give a toss who the other centre back is because all 3 seem shite right now.

Not sure if Eriksen can drop into a midfield 3, but with Stambouli doing the mopping up duties it gives Eriksen and Mason the ability to assist the attack.

-------------------------Lloris-----------------------------------

Kaboul -------- Dier-------- Vertonghen ------- Davies

----------------------Stambouili-------------------------------

Chadli--------Lamela-------Mason---------Townsend

--------------------------Kane---------------------------------

- Stretch the game out, leaving gaping holes for Chadli/Townsend to run into and at the full backs.
- Let Stambouli be sole holding midfielder, giving Mason the opportunity to join the front four on attacks.
- Give Dier a run in his actual position. Can't be any worse than Kaboul/Fazio/Chiriches, and will benefit from playing alongside Vertonghen
- As batshit crazy as it sounds, I wouldn't be averse to seeing Kaboul at RB. This is based 90% on the fact he did the cross for Crouch in 2010 that got us in the CL (ok it was actually punched by their keeper to Crouch...) and 10% there is literally no one else.
- Start Lloris.

Can't believe you needed to say this. :p

Edit: I totally agree about Stambouli being the sole holding mid. It's funny how we play 2 holding mids yet our defence is afforded incredibly little protection from the midfield.

Mason isn't a holding MF really though, mate, he's a pivot. Mr link-up. He looked pissed off today; got some clueless shit going on around him. Hope it doesn't affect his game too much.

I thought reports are that Walker is back training, and is in line to start after the break - if that is the case, just throw him into the line-up, particularly with Naughton's red. Might as well give him game time ahead of Dier right now - with Dier on the bench, if Walker can't go a full 90.

Put Lloris in for Vorm and Jan in for Fazio, I wouldn't mind seeing this.

Let's see what the magnificent 7 are made of.

Yes it would be revealing one way or the other. Let the manager back Baldini / Levy and see if the players we got for Bale step up to the plate. Who do we blame if it goes wrong ? I think not the coach.
