Huge game, it will be incredibly interesting to see how Poch sets up.

Given how we’ve been playing recently it’s hard to see past starting the majority of the usual suspects in the settled system:

Lloris
Trippier Sanchez Verts Davies
Dier Dembele
Eriksen Dele Son
Kane
We’re so good right now that Lamela for Dele with Eriksen moving infield (I’d probably start this way), Rose for Davies, even Walker-Peters for trippier is still an awesome team. Play wanyama vs Bournemouth to try and get him into some form.

For me this is more about mentality than personnel. We should plan to dominate possession as I don’t believe Juve offers the same threat that, say, Real does going forward. Play with confidence but not hung ho. We are in the driver’s seat, they need to score, that will suit us. As the game wears on, if we are under pressure bring on Moura, and look to spring the counter, but I wouldn’t go out with that mentality at the outset.

Hate to say this but it’s europe against an Italian team so be cynical and don’t give away stupid free kicks!

Mouthwatering prospect this one!

Just watch them drop like flies when having minimal contact around our penalth area!!! They are experts in such scenario. Hope ours won't fall for it. Or might even say the official won't fall for their theatrics!!

Would be a bit hypocritical seeing as Poch tells all our players to try and go down if there’s any contact.

I expect that we're gonna start somewhat the same team as against Huddersfield. Aurier serves a match ban or two

If you could choose, would you start Son, Lamela or Lucas alongside Alli and Eriksen?

Also noticed that Dybala scored this weekend after being out injured for a month.

I'm concerned there's going to be a nasty surprise re: Dembele. He took 2 bad knocks yesterday and signalled to come off injured, but then ended up staying on. Given how susceptible he is, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was out for Wednesday.

Got this horrible feeling we’re going to lose.

Need to get at them early doors.

What shouldn't be overlooked is how well Juventus defended in the second half of the first leg. They were really hard to break down and that was with us on the top of our game. If they play like that on wednesday which is how I expect them to do then the match will definitely be more like the second half than the first.

I have a feeling there might be a couple of surprises in the line up and also think this is the kind of game Lucas Moura was bought for. He has that champions league experience that will come into handy. Plus his twinkle toes will be so useful in helping us get free kicks in their final third. If ever there was a game for falling over as easily as possible its this one, as they definitely will do.

Lloris, Trippier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Alli, Eriksen, Lucas, Kane

This sort of thing makes laugh. I can't even think of a game where Poch dropped Dier, so to think he will be dropped in our biggest game of recent years really takes some imagination.
Yet you think Rose will come in for Davies?

Why is this weird? Poch has rotated FB's ever since he got here.
Except for this season where Rose has barely played because of his complete lack of fitness or form.

Rose has basically only started games where we've played fully rotated teams. No way Rose starts this.

I think Davies may start! I would say he is Pochettino’s number one left back these days and I would say he will start this game with his strongest 11. I think that will also include Dier and Dembele- I would say if 100% fit it would be Wanyama for Dier but he is not 100% fit. The only doubt he may have is Lamela or son to start. Personally I would go for Son. Although I love them both I think Lamela is more likely to loose the ball im dangerous positions for a counter attack.

It's a tough one as you could also argue that Lamela is more likely to WIN the ball in a dangerous position for a counter attack.

That's true but it will be risky of them to concede as much possession as they did in that 1st leg, with us being at home and having the crowd behind us. Quite difficult for them in terms of how they should be setting out. I know a lot of people have said they could have been 4-1 up at half time and such, but in fairness to us, we conceded an offside goal and two penalties, so you could equally argue that with chances based on actual play, the only real one was the Higuain chance he fired wide.

Would play lucas and son for the counter. They need to score which means that will push us.

Hugo
Trips sanchez verts rose
Dier dembele eriksen
Lucas kane son

Costa against trips really worries me but he's handled sanchez and mane this season so why not

Well, wasn't it Aurier who gave away a silly Pen for the first. At least I know that Trips won't commit any rash challenges like he does.
