Somehow I expect Poch to come up with some surprise or other in our approach. Overall though this will be a huge test against a team who really know how to stifle the opposition and win 1-0. I saw some of the game against Lazio where they won with pretty much the last kick of the match. So we have to score first making the kind of start we did against Dortmund

Who would you prefer up against Costa, Einstein?

Einstein is suspended so he doesn't fit into the equation.

As for your other choices, if you're being serious, then Dier over Wanyama as he hasn't looked back to fitness and I prefer Dier in possession.

I always fear with Wanyama that he panics a bit under pressure, not what we need against juve.

Dele, he is perfect for this game, his pace and guile will cause juve alot of problems and also the juve players will concentrate on kicking him off the park.

As for aurier, yes he has pace but he is still a liability for me, I'd go Trippier every time, a better defender and player Imo.

Although I believe Poch will go with aurier though.

Son has to play, the rest picks itself. Eriksen will play CM

Nervous and excited all in one about this game. If we fire on all cylinders then we will win. I have no idea how they're going to approach this game. A Jose style smash and grab?

Lloris
Dier - Sanchez - Vertonghen
Trippier - Wanyama - Dembele - Rose
Lamela - Eriksen
Kane

Subs: Vorm, Foyth, Davies, Sissoko, Lucas, Dele, Son
I like this, but worry there's a risk in going to three at the back after we haven't played that formation for a while. Seems risky to only have a couple of days to prepare for such a big game, using a formation last utilized a while ago. That's not to say it's a really good shout, I just worry about rustiness with the system. It's also highly unlikely Poch would drop Dele. But total agree with staring Lamela ahead of him in this formation, as we need someone capable of pressing hard, and reliably being able to hold on to the ball. Not that him and Dele did that particularly well on Saturday, but you know what I mean.

The natural rotation would mean rose comes in but Davies is playing so well

Rose will be fuming if he is benched again on Wednesday

He will have plenty of time to Google players on the bench. He had the shirt and his attitude list him it. Davies is number one, and he should have been the one upset.

If by attitude you mean knee injury, you're right.

Erm, the comment he made in an interview with regards to signing players he didn't have to Google.
I know what you meant. His knee injury is what "lost him" his starting place, not that interview.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, or even if anyone has brought this up.

But how about having a minute of appluase for Davide Astori on Wednesday? Maybe the 13th minute.

We are hosting an Italian side, and I think it will send a message not only to Juve, but also to the rest of Italy that we stand together as a football family, regardless of which part of the world we come from.

I am not sure how these things get started or get put in motion. I am also half way around the world for you guys... But I am willing to help spread the message.

Poch took Rose for a private chat in training today so I reckon he might get the nod.

Could be that simple. Could be telling him he's going with Davies as he's just not ready and knows that will upset him. Could be he's got a wild idea and wanted to tell him so he could prep. Could be anything :barefoot:

Anywho I doubt he'd wait until in front of the entire media group's 15 minute watching session to do anything worth thinking too much about.

This sort of thing makes laugh. I can't even think of a game where Poch dropped Dier, so to think he will be dropped in our biggest game of recent years really takes some imagination.

Also makes me laught that you want Rose to start, ahead of Davies, when Rose hasn't played well in over a year.
