Just saw on @Spursofficial that Adebayor and Chadli were both in the senior squad training. No sign of Rose.

Midfield will be key for Sundays game. We cannot get over run, but also need an outlet, so going with the following 5

Capoue - Sandro - Paulinho

Townsend - Lamela

Negredo | Aguero

Nasri | Yaya | Fernandinho | Navas

Clichy | Demechelis | Lescott (?) | Zabaleta

Between Navas, Nasri (who always does us in), Nedredo and Aguero, I really, really fear the worst. This is gonna be tough.

It certainly will be tough I think we will lose 3-0 I expect us to pass it around thousands of times but not be able to create much or score.

Putting AVB's head on, it will be:-

Lloris

Walker Dawson Vlad Vert

Sandro Paulinho

Townsend Holtby Siggy

Soldado

Bloody hope not though.

I could see Kaboul starting instead of Vlad but unfortunately I think this will be the team. It's not weak by any stretch of the imagination but starting Lamela instead of Siggy would definitely add some much needed creativity.

I would like us to play something like a 5-3-2 with Walker and Townsend on either wing back. Verts, Kaboul, Vlad at the back, pacey back line. A triangle of Sandro/Capoue holding, Paulinho/Dembele box to box, Lamela/Holtby pushed forward in the middle. Eriksen when fit behind Soldado. Doubt I'll ever see it though.

If Chad is fit I would definitely like to see a midfield of...

Sandro Holtby
Townsend Lamela Chadli
Soldado
Then bring on Capoue or Pauly for Holtby to tighten things up in the second half, as well as Lennon for Chadli with him swapping sides with Townsend to bring a spark of pace against a lagging defence who will be accustomed to Andros cutting inside.

With Chadli going off injured after a few mins last time, I would be surprised if he started. I think he will be wrapped up in cotton wool and slowly intergrated like Kaboul (maybe not to that extent though).

I'd like to see:

sandro paulinho
lennon dembele lamela
soldado

Not many will agree, however I think dembele drives the ball forward well when he doesnt have to consider the defensive responsiblitiy when in the middle 2 pairing. I think Townsend will also be a good impact sub, lennon can set the pace and put a shift in tracking back before andros comes on and mixes it up a little.

I like that set-up for this game. City, especially at home, have the ability to kill us both on the wings and centrally. Our whole unit there is solid in central defence, and quick and mobile enough to provide both defensive and attacking/counter-attacking options on the wings, with Lamela attacking centrally. I think it'll be a far more open game than some are predicting.
