If true, it just fucks us up totally against RM.

I know Trippier doesn't work at LB. But he is ok. I would rather replace Davies with Trippier than put Jan at LB & create imbalance in back 4. Sanchez is still not comfortable in a back 4 & would be massive risk against Ronaldo

I see what you mean about sissoko and i do agree although it would have to be in place of alli seeing as he is still serving his ban.
Its a tough selection to make without knowing who is available. Its a shame we have do many players that are close but cant play for whatever reason.

I think if Dembele had a genuine chance of making this he would of a got a run out yesterday.

Think Davies will make it, and expect Aurier to start ahead of Trippier.

I think Son might be on the bench, Sissoko's work rate, pace and power on the counter could be a good move.

I know Son was good against Dortmund, but Madrid are another level and Sissoko puts in more off the ball, he gets the nod for me.

He can also drop deeper and solidify us more than Son would and let's be honest we're going to be doing a lot of defending.

This is a game where you have to think a bit more about stopping the opposition than just about how you can hurt them.

Winks may be talanted but I’m not sure he is quite ready for this kind of game. I think Sissoko with his physical abilities could be useful in this game.

The only real choices are between sissoko /winks/Son it’s 2 out of 3 .
Pack the midfield and leave out Son.Probably my choice.
Or play Son and choose between winks ball retention or sissoko pace and power.
Such a shame we have so many out and can’t really gauge where we are at.

Essentially this is a free game, we're not expected to come out with anything from this match so a point would be a fantastic result. Real are missing quite a few themselves so it's not completely out of the question.

I'd rather play Harry Kane at LB than Trippier. Trippier at LB means we only play with 80% of the pitch when we have the ball as he constantly turns back on his right foot and passes back to a CB. Every time.

Alderweireld is good but expecting him to play in 2 positions is a big ask. Levy could command top £ for him though if he can pull it off.

If anyone knows Madrid you have to break quickly on them as they leave themselves exposed at the back.
