no lennon?....why?...explain why was he 'rested' on saturday?...

Lennon will play.tommy will be on the bench.

I agree that Lennon will probably play, and Huddlestone will be on the bench.

But, this is just the team I'd like to see. Just think Lennons been suffering lately with what was reported a tightness of his groin or hamstring, I can't remember which.
I feel we can't have pace on both wings and would be better to have players that are better at keeping pocession - Modric, Huddlestone and VDV with Bale giving us pace on the wing and Sandro giving us the defensive cover.

For me there is a difference between showing respect and then going to the other extreme and getting so caught up with what they will do that you lose your own style of play, which has been effective thus far, and consequently your own ability to impact the game the way you would like to.

Our style has served us very well to date, and of course we are joint top scorers with Madrid but I appreciate fully the point you make. The respect should come from a fully committed display, but tactiaclly you could be right. Many think Harry will get found out tactically in the really big games...but he's done alright so far.

At this stage there is little room for error and tactics become more important as the tournament progresses.

I believe our greatest result so far this season was the 1:0 victory at the San Siro:

Spurs (4-4-1-1):
Gomes;
Corluka (Woodgate, 58), Gallas, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto;
Lennon, Palacios, Sandro, Pienaar (Kranjcar, 77);
Van der Vaart (Modric, 62); Crouch
Subs not used: Cudicini, Bassong, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko.

I wasn't entirely sure whether Arry was forced into playing 2 defensive midfielders through injury or whether one should credit him with adopting more effective tactics. I fear it was the former. Also bear in mind that our goal came as a result of break started by Modric.

I rate Redknapp very highly and he has done a magnificent job for us. However I believe if he was a little more flexible in his tactical approach, with the squad he has we would have picked up a few more points in the past month. Modric as one of 2 central midfielders is not always a good idea, while playing Defoe and Pavluychenko up front together is hardly ever a good idea.

By the way, how would you define "our style"?

Redknapp said we may only have 6 subs...why don't we use one of the 'B List' i.e. the young lads? I noticed on the twitter pics of the Wigan game, John Bostocks kit was on a peg in the changing room but he wasn't in the squad. So he must have travelled and been available.

It was forced to an extent... Modric was just coming back from injury in that game, which was why he started on the bench, Jenas was suspended I think...
