Dinamo (we are Dinamo btw, not Zagreb. Zagreb is other club ;) ) will miss Mihael Mikić due to injury. Thats pretty big blow for us. He will be replace by either Sammir or Mirko Hrgović.

We've got to play our strongest side IMO - the minute we get defeatist we'll lose any momentum and confidence that has just begun to build up. We should still be aiming to win the UEFA cup, otherwise last year's CC win is pointless.

Definitely, I wouldn't play King because he is a special case unless of course he can play Sunday too. That said, Corluka and Woodgate is a developing and promising partnership. People need to realise that our poor start and goodish revival are confidence and mental issues and 'resting' players because they might get injured is not the way to go.

Winning (not losing) breeds winning. You get used to it. Whether it's a solid win against Bolton, a miraculous draw against Arsenal, a fortunate but dogged and determined win against Liverpool or a convincing, exciting win against Zagreb. I can't see how resting our better players and running the risk of returning to defeat after three games without losing is a good thing.

Hi million :) well as I say it's all about opinions :) for me we're clearly in a relegation scrap = and AFAIK HR is of the same opinion hence his insistence the league is the priority

I guess we'll find out a lot more by Sun evening as to what Harry's game is re the lge and UEFA Cup

to me we should rest King JJ Bentley and if possible Gomes too

not to mention the alleged £1m bonus for avoiding relegation -

if toon draw tonight we're bottom of the table again

and given that JJ missed the game on Sat through injury isn't it risky to play him thurs?

I understand you're concern DC Boy. My biggest concern is that we disrupt the team from the last week. DA and Coyboy touched up on it, that we need to keep the winning formula. And although 2 games in 4 days might take a bit out of the players, they should be fit enough to handle it. I'm more for seeing us make several changes to the Carling Cup team than the UEFA Cup one. Keep pretty much the same team on thursday and sunday and then rest several players for a week, and give some players a run out against Liverpool in the Cup (the likes of Boeteng, Ghaly, Rocha etc.)

I dont think Jenas is a concern to be honest. It was a minor toe injury. He took an injection, but had to pull out on saturday. I'm sure he'll be fine for thursday. Its nothing serious. Its not like a groin strain or something that could resurface and get worse, leading to an even longer term injury. Of course the Club doctors will know more. If he doesn't play than i think O'Hara would be a good stand in. He offers more going forward than Zokora, and i think we missed that extra penetration from midfield on saturday, because we had JJ out and Lennon on the bench.

fair comments million :)

I see the opposite POV - but HR clearly said the lge is the priority and to me it has to be ATM- (many people will know on here how much I love the cups - but not at the expense of relegation)

so the question I guess is which is the best way forward for our league position - the play 'your strongest available team' approach - or 'rest now play later'

I can see arguments both ways - i go for the 'rest now' approach

in the end all that matters is Harry's view on this

whatever he says I'll back, cos he's already earned my respect and I hope most/all spurs' fans respect

Zokora for Jenas if there is the slightest danger of him aggravating is toe.

Subs: Sanchez, Gunter, Bale, King (if fit enough), Zokora, Gio (if fit), Campbell.

Of the frst team squad that only leaves the woeful Gilberto. More than one injury would mean looking outside the first team squad. Daniels might be a contender after last night, though attacking leftbacks are not exactly our short suit. Otherwise Rose and McKenna seem to be injured, so that leaves Dervitte and Maghoma. After that we are pretty much down to first year professionals and Academy players, though we have some pretty useful ones.

The league has to be the priority, of course, but now we've acquired some momentum and confidence at last it would be foolish and counter-productive to dissipate it in any way. After blowing it against Udi, who weren't, frankly, all that good and were there for the taking, we really need to see off Dinamo. Two years ago our European performances kept spirits up during a dodgy patch of league form. With all due respect to Dinamo, they are not a side we should be losing to, home or away.

There's been reports that Jenas, O'Hara and Dos Santos may be out with knocks. So:
If Jenas is injured - Zokora into the team and Bostock onto the bench
If O'Hara is injured - Bostock onto the bench
(If Jenas and O'Hara injured - Zokora into the team; Bostock and Townsend onto the bench)
If Dos Santos is injured - Mason onto the bench

Definitely don't want to see Gilberto again.

Didn't realise that McKenna was injured. He's been very unlucky with injuries and this is a make or break season for him really with his contract up in June.

I am only guessing because of his non-appearance last night.

On Bostock, Townsend etc. I am thinking Harry may not have had much chance to look at the youth lads yet, so if he calls anyone up to the squad it is more likely to be from the rezzies, particularly with Clive advising

Bearing in mind what DZG said about there full backs/wingers being 80% of the threat i think we need to nullify that so that means none of this Bently on the right and lennon on the left with bale behind that would leave us so expose it would be insane. Also means that 5 across the middle is a must. so for me.

Sanchez (let gomes rest that rib a bit)
Gunter King Woodgate BAE

Bentley Jenas Hudd Bale

Modric

Bent

Gunter is more solid definsivly in my opionon

Tell Bale to sit back a bit deeper and BAE just to sit back and keep solid same with gunter.

Then tell the team to play through the middle keep it away from the wings as much as possible.

If it ain't working at half time then bring on lennon for BAE drop bale back and bring on Dawson and for Hudd and put King in DM and tell everyone to f***ing run around. so it would look

---------sanchez------------
gunter dawson woodate bale

----------- King-------------

Bently ------------------Lennon
-------- Jenas-- Modric----------

-------------Bent

F it just play the second team :)

Which reminds me - have you heard any more news on what's happening with Hamed?

Sounds like Harry will be taking it very serious.

“We have to win at home and make sure we win. If we win this game, one more win will get us through then we can think about the league again.

“It's important we keep picking up good results and keep winning for the confidence.

“We don't want to get beaten on Thursday. I'll change the team and give players a chance who haven't played.” Harry Redknapp.

So a few changes, but he really wants to win. So hopefully not too many changes.
