Im not joking. Let me explain myself bere. Winks is starting because of Dembele with the hip problems. I dont want to take the chance of going too quick with him. Although 45' today was a good sign.

I don't subscribe to the theory of we have to play Janssen because Kane needs a rest. Neither striker has been particularly good at all this season. Just because we have to rest Kane does not mean we are limited to playing Janssen. I dont want to drop a struggling striker for another struggling striker.

On your Gillingham team- why not play KWP instead of shoehorning Jan at LB- and also, what's the point in playing Carroll, who clearly has no future at the club, when we can play Onomah who's about 4 years younger?

I'd paly Jan because he was poor tonight & doesn't deserve the res (Joke but some truth).. also we will have a new debut in Nkoudou so that bit of experience to me is preferable to having 2 players who have not played from the start for our starting XI,.. I think if you are going to give young players a chance then put them in with a strong enough line-up.. otherwise if there in a team full of kids then is it really a first team game your giving them... give them the surroundings that give them the best chance of showcasing there talent.. to do that you need a strong line-up.

Carroll.. we don't know at this moment none of us know for definite what his future holds.. if Isco had signed then he would more than likely be gone.. for now he is a Spurs player & should be used as such.. he's the closest we have to Eriksen.. so for balance of the team I would pick him especially if Nkoudou starts.. even if Carroll is eventually sold which more than likely will happen.. from a business side it makes sense to play him & keep some sort of value for him (not sure of his contract situation)..

KWP & Onamah's time will come & I don't think it's much benefit to throw them into a team of mismatches without any cohesion & then disappear for a for a month.. if they get a chance I'd rather they got a run of games to show what they can do..

Janssen is not a struggling striker. That's just plain wrong.

Is it because he made that overweighted poor pass to Sissoko that he is now a 'struggling striker'?

Exactly this. Want to see Lamela in the middle with a bit of pace and width either side of him. That team would also give us a very strong bench with Kane, Alli and Eriksen. Would like to see N'Koudou as an option for Son in the second half.

I like the idea of fielding 12 players, gives us an extra option. Pretty sure it is against the rules although it might just be frowned upon.
