Apart from the question of whether the likes of Modric, Corluka, Kaboul and Gomes are fit; the issues are which game Ledley will miss out of West Ham, Twente and Villa and what do do about Lennon. Assuming that the players are fit, I would be inclined to leave Ledley for the Champions League game and play Gallas/Kaboul at the back with Hutton at RB. Reluctantly, I would probably start Jenas on the right:

Gomes

Hutton Gallas Kaboul BAE

Jenas Huddlestone Modric Bale

VdV

Crouch

Subs : Cudicini, Bassong, Corluka, Sandro, Lennon, Pavlyuchenko, Keane

Gomes

Hutton Gallas King Bale

Huddlestone Jenas

Lennon Van Der Varrt Modric

Crouch

Subs: Cudicini, Sandro, Krancjar, Keane, Kaboul/Corluka (depends who is fit), Pavyluchenko, Assou-Ekotto

Lots of width, mix of pace and guile, strong CB pairing and most importantly leaving them to figure out the conundrum of how to mark Modric and Van Der Varrt who will float while keeping Bale from overlapping

Gomes
Hutton Gallas King Ekotto
Jenas Huddlestone Modric Bale
VDV
Crouch

Bench: Pletikosa, Bassong, Caulker, Sandro, Kranjcar, Keane, Pavlyuchenko

Hutton is our right back on the moment, not just because he was superb in his last game, but because Kaboul and Corluka are both out. He deserves his chance to shine, and given how awful Lennon has been, we should do what those who saw Hutton pre Spurs in more depth than me say is the best way to get the best out of him, i.e. a hard working central player in front of him. This, coupled with the fact that Jenas is on very good form and deserves a place in the side, is quick and has a great engine, and is far more natural on the right than Modric or VDV, says that for me, Jenas should start on the right.

Modric and Huddlestone has proven to be our best central pairing, I woulnd't want to change that.

Bale and BAE are awesome together, I wouldn't want to change that.

Gallas instead of Bassong, because Bassong means King on the right, which he is noticably not as good at as on the left (and he admits as much if memory serves).

Crouch up front, no question about that really.

Now, my bench. No Lennon, no Palacios. Well, I like a bench to have two defenders, two strikers, one more defensive midfielder and one more attacking midfielder. Therefore, Caulker gets in as, after Bassong, we have only him and Naughtability as defenders. Between Palacios, Sandro and Livermore, the latter is clearly not ready, the former is clearly out of form, and the middle has just had an impressive debut and was not on the field when the real massacre began (he was subbed at 2-1 right?).

Kranjcar instead of Lennon, Giovani or Bentley.. well right now he's the less of four evils.

Keane and Pavlyuchenko are the remaining strikers, so they get in, though I would be tempted to kick Pav out for Kane so the kid gets some experience, but that might be a touch OTT.

Easy one for me as named by nearly everyone here I think!

Gomes

Hutton Gallas King BAE

Lennon Hudd Mod Bale

VDV

Crouch

(unless Ledley doesn't fancy the two games this weeks, I would perhaps keep him for FC Twente if he doesn't fancy both).

Nobody else think BAE shouldn't start? given he played 90 mins on Saturday, then 120 mins last night....

Hutton----Gallas---King----BAE(by default)
-----------Jenas-----Palacios
Modric------VDV-------------Bale
----------Crouch

My guess is we will actually line up same defence if fit as above, if not Bassong will come in for King. Huddlestone for Palacios. Bale might be dropped into FB, Modric if fit LM and Lennon at RM.

oooh west ham, dont no whether to pitty them or hate them, so desperately like to think of themselves as our rivals, bless

Hopefully we truly smash them to bits, and i mean truly smash. they'll try there best to attack which will make a refreshing change from our last couple of prem games and should leave lots of space for us to rape them good

-------------Gomes
Hutton--King--Gallas-------Bae

Lennon--Modric--Huddlestone--Bale
-------------VDV
--------------Crouch

maybe JJ for modric actually as he might not be fit, and Scum Jnr will no doubt play a fast paced game flying into tackles like the talentless shites they are:lol:

Rest king for the CL game, bassong did well the other night. Also BAE needs a rest and with modric back he can slot into LM. This is to accommodate JJ anyway who deserves his spot

I want Ekotto at LB, and Bale on the wing. That said he did play 120 mins, so I wouldn't be completely shocked if Harry goes for Bale at LB, Modric ahead of him and Jenas alongside Hudd - particularly if Modric is fit enough to start.

Although I am hoping Ekotto starts and Bale is on the wing. If thats the case its either Modric if he is fit enough or Jenas - who does deserve to start. Also Harry could be thinking along the lines of Modric coming in against Twenty and having him on the bench come Saturday ensuring Jenas starts. We have 3 games to play in a week.

Not sure I would be in favour of Jenas on the right. Praying that Lennon is going to recapture his form anytime now and against West Ham is the perfect opportunity to do this. They will come at us which will suit us and the more it opens up the better from our point of view.

Noble and Parker will be their impetus, get the better of these two and we should wrap it up quite comfortably. Win our battles in the middle and keeping possession well should see us creating plenty of opportunities.

Hoping to see:

Gomes

Hutton
Gallas
King
Ekotto

Lennon
Huddlestone
Modric
Bale

VDV

Crouch

Could quite easily be Modric on the bench, or Bale at LB - with both Modric and Jenas starting. Will be interesting what way Harry goes. I am also assuming Kaboul is out.
