Ok I think we should put last night behind us and concentrate on one of the two most important competitions for us this season.

My team would be:

-------Gomes---------
Hutton King Gallas BAE
Lennon Hudd Modric Bale
------------VDV-------
-------Crouch----------

This is all depending on injurie status.

Swap Gomes for Cudicini
Swap Modric for Jenas or Palacios

We should give the hammers a hammering!!! :bang:

Ditto that team as well.

All I can say is it feels damn nice to see those names in the team again.

I think we should bring a few player back on-loan for this game. Doesn't really matter if we win does it? I'm sure the fans will be happy to see us thrashed by West Ham, because fan rivalry obviously means nothing these days.

Save our best players for next season.

Lennon for me, I hate putting square pegs in round holes, JJ should play in the centre or not at all.

Only change I would make for this game is in bold. I just think Lenny is so off form I would prefer him to play a role like against Wolves.

I like that team however is Kaboul fit again after the Wolves game? If not i'd swap him with Hutton.

I'd also rest one of Gallas or King for the Champions League game with Twente and play Bassong. Gallas is still coming back to full match fitness and seems to be blowing out his arse after 90mins and we all know about Kings fitness woes.

Bassong and Gallas/King should provide enough defensive stability to nulify any west ham threat.

Dos Santos and Bentley don't make the bench as they were shabby against Arsenal so they need a lesson.

I prefer to field our strongest team possible for this one, then worry about Champions League after. With the game on Wednesday, I think King will recover in time anyway.

For Lennon, I think he would do well against West Ham as he always does. So could be just the game for him to return to form.

I would be tempted to play Keane up top alone as reward for scoring and generally playing pretty well when he came on last night.

Crouch will start I have no doubt....but I feel we have a better chance of forming a decent attacking partnership between VDV and KEane than VDV and Crouch.

My only real concern would be the lack of ariel threat, but until we sign a top class striker we are always going to have to scarfice something important upfront if we wish to play VDV behind a sole striker (as we have no complete striker to play the lone role)

This would also be my team, but it really is Lennon's last chance, someone just needs to tell him to GO FOR IT, just take on the LB, try and beat them every chance you get, some you will win and some you wont, but at least TRY MAN!

If it doesn't happen this week, I think we will have to try JJ on the right, or maybe even good forbid, Bentley - TBH, I am suprised Harry hasn't tried bale on the right yet - I know he is brilliant on the left, but you know it seems to be in fashion (Young, Bellemy, Milner etc) and we would have a lot more options to fill the left (Modric, kranky, GIO, even keane)

Actually I like the look of this

Gomes
Kaboul----Gallas----King----Ekotto
Bale----Sandro----Huddlestone----Modric
VDV
Crouch

Agree with this, except that I wouldn't even consider starting Wilson if Modders isn't fit, he's been so poor recently. I'd play Jenas or, worst case, I'd rather drop VdV a little further back and play Keane over Palacios atm, especially against the Spammers.

I'm also slightly torn over persisiting with a clearly off-form Lennon but I don't think Gio or Bentley represent better alternatives atm.

Harry left alot of clues out there if you look carefully fellow yids,
whoever didn't play last night is in with a great shout.
so i think wilson, bentley, pav and keane are fucked.

p.s. keane did not play pretty well!, he scored a goal yes, it was offside,he shot too early, he shot in the wrong corner ,weakly, luckily scum keeper ,worse than anything we have, let it in , i think he may have had a monkey on keane to score.

Keane looked ok, not great, and thats cos he was waving his hands around alot, and doing pointless shuttle runs, alot.
he missed 2 sitters, and played one decent ball to azza .
