If we go with the same personnel in the same system then absolutely expect the same shitty performance/result.

I just don't see Moura at RWB.
His stamina in games is woeful, he seems to have spurts of energy then large periods of recovery where he switches off and just jogs or stands about. It's not so bad when he does that further up the pitch but not bothering (or being able) to get back when you are a defender is not really an option.

Would be tempted to just stick Tanganga there (if fit) for the rest of the season, i know he has had some brain fart moments but they have been less so from full/wing back. and he's better equipped to get up and down than Doherty, Royal or Moura.

whoever play RB/RWB though, Bentancur is a must for this game.

Whatever team we pick we need to do 2 things a lot lot better. 1. not give the ball away so easily and 2. start picking up 2nd balls from defensive clearances. I am at a loss why talanted players like Son and Lucas fail to control balls when coming deep into midfield, and on rare occassions they do then give crap passes. This is exacerbated when our goalkeeper and defenders pass to team mates who have no options and are immediately under pressure and watch as the poor sods are harried into mistakes. It shows a lack of leadership and brainless approach to a game which is getting ever more appropriate to intelligent players who can adapt to a game and not go through training ground procedures which are not working. Whilst I am having a rant what is the point of investing in youth that may have potential but do not improve our 1st team NOW, loan these out and give them time elsewhere to learn from their mistakes and invest in quality experienced players to immediately stabilize weak positions.
I now need to lie down in a darkened room. Please do not disturb.
Happier days Bob

I would go one of:

Bergwijn - Kane
Kulusevski
Sess - Bentancur - Hojbjerg - Doherty
Davies - Romero - Sanchez
Hugo

OR

Son - Kane
Sess - Bentancur - Winks - Hojbjerg - Doherty
Davies - Romero - Sanchez
Hugo

If Conte can trust Bergwijn then I would really like him to get a proper go, and I like the idea that if we're tied or close near the end of the match we can bring on Son/Lucas (Son coming off an injury - he needs to be rotated from time to time).

Have an extra man in midfield and play Lucas at RWB in a 352. That way we might be able to control the midfield more

........................................Lloris.......................................
..............Romero......Sanchez....Davies..............
Lucas.......Winks...Benta....PEH............Reggie
.................................Kane......Son................................

Later in the game, if we need to attack more, then sub Winks or PEH for Kulusevski, and play 343

........................................Lloris.........................................
..............Romero......Sanchez....Davies..............
Lucas.............Winks.........Benta............Reggie
...................Kulu............Kane......Son.........................

Dier out again so frustrating , no organiser in the back 5. Also will be a tough ask for Romero and Son to play again after a long lay off. Skipp also has been missed, Bentacur must start.

Can we please start Rodon? Sanchez needs a time out after that calamity. And if Dier is still out next week, i’d feel more comfortable with Rodon back there against City as I still have nightmares about Sanchez against City. So better to give Rodon a start here. I’d be tempted to start Doherty or even Lucas at RWB here too.

Just go with a midfield 3, do that, we will be fine
I’d be cool with a CM3 of Hojbjerg, White & Bentancur. Other than that, no. I actively refuse to watch Winks again. I just cannot subject myself to that. I can only take so much pain & emotional torture before my heart gives out & no matter how depressed I am about it, i would like to be able to celebrate turning 30 next weekend. Our FK’s would also improve having White take them.

Sounds from press conference today - and Conte reply to question about Bentancur’s best position - that we’re prob looking at 3-4-3 again.

By all accounts you can remove Skipp from your lineup mate.

Lloris

Romero Rodon Davies

Doc Højberg Bentancur Reguilon

Lucas Kane Son

subs : Gollini, Royal, Sanchez, Sessengnon, Winks, Kulu, Bergwijn

Really want to go 3-5-2 but I cannot justify both Winks and Højberg starting after the midweek debacle. If Emerson and Sanchez start after that shit show I’ll be disappointed, we need some accountability
