If Udogie was fit yes. Makes no sense to play a left back at LCB and a right back at Left Back in Emerson

Unless Phillips or Dorrington plays tomorrow I expect it to be Porro/Dier/Davies/Emerson.

I doubt we would move Bissouma from his most influential position where he's key to how we play in midfield. With VdV and Romero out it's more vital we have someone comfortable on the ball in there. Hojbjerg is fine in front of those 2 but I wouldn't fancy him in front of the others at CB.

My thought was this: Hojbjerg has been the most trusted Mid Sub this season - primarily as the deepest option - so I expect him to start.

Given Ange's tactics - agility and ability to press is important for the front-two CMs - and Bissouma will be able to do that better than Hojbjerg.

Agree with this if they both start the back line has to be a least 20 Yards deeper.

Would like to see Phillips given a chance and has to be Lo Celso for madders

With the primary function of both full backs going into central midfield I think PEH could do a job at RB personally.

Then for Villa we will have Udogie back, Porro back and hopefully Maddison back so it’s just central defence where the problems lie.

I don't think he'll start Davies LCB, he'll give Phillips a chance its this situation that we bought him for surely and apart from anything else we need his pace, Davies and Dier as a CB combo will be suicide in Ange's set-up.

Yeah i don't like it ether, i guess it depends on what Ange thinks of him in training. TBF he might still be too raw, hope not tho as your completely right re speed with Davies and Dier. Would be horrible.

I think Emerson will start LB mate, think Ange prefers his athleticism and ability on the ball compared to Davies.

Agree unlikely Bentancur will start just yet in which case I think the midfield 3 will be : Bissouma, Sarr and PEH and we will bring Lo Celso on if we need more creativity and TBH PEH deserves a start and can do a job as a creative n.o8 like he does for Denmark although I'd equally like to see Lo Celso given a go and replicate his pre-season form.
